Anyone see the class Miami is quietly putting together? Must be nice to have all that talent in state...but I still don't get it. They were so bad last year...

Local talent is insane and if these kids blow up they are kings down there. The U has the swag factor going from it and no matter how bad they are, they will always get kids.

They also have the turnover chain. Maybe we need one of these.

Well that probably would have looked good hanging around Bo Pelini's neck but then again it could also have been used as a weapon in his hands!
Imagine had he swung that at the official against Iowa rather than his hat.

They went 6-7 and played in a bowl game with a first year head coach.

like the guy said, they were a bad team. Going 6-6 in a very weak ACC isn’t anything special....finishing 6-7 overall after a bad La Tech lose.

Hell, Louisiana Tech beat them in said bowl game you mentioned by a score of 0-14. La Tech put up almost 340 yard of offense against Miami....while Miami managed a whopping 227 yards of offense. Miami’s starting RB had a monstrous 2.5 yard per carry average going on in that La Tech game. I think I made my point...they were a bad team like he said.

Their coaching staff is HORRENDOUS!

The talent here in South Florida is mostly limited to athletes with speed..

Interior lines have been BAD for several years.

WE WOULD HAVE WON 8 GAMES LAST YEAR WITH THEIR SCHEDULE! The ACC excluding Clemson is pretty bad and Miami doesn't play them.

a bunch of south florida kids going to miami makes a whole lot more sense than a bunch of south florida kids going to nebraska or iowa or minnesota
so there's different levels of sensible.

how so, just because they are from the Florida area? What makes sense is a player going to a team that fits their talent level or skill set regardless of location. That’s why we see players going from Cali all the way to Florida and vise versa...

There's no one size fits all formula. Each kid has his own criteria for what he's looking for in a school. And it is not always only about "talent fit".

agreed and at the same time it is about the best fit. Most times, the players what to play for a team that fits their skill sets and will make the most of them. But occasionally, you are right, it won’t matter if they fit the schemes or not, they just like the team or coaching staff in general...enough so they ignore the fit and everything else and still pick said team.
