I just found out that I was admitted to the Syracuse MBA program starting this fall and wanting to get the board's thoughts on MBA tracks. At Syracuse I have the several options, but I have narrowed it down to Supply chain management, finance or accounting. Supply chain is the most natural fit because of my current job, but finance and accounting is really drawing me. The thought of taking a few more credit hours in accounting to earn my CPA is the big pull towards that track. My questions are out of the above three what are some of the pros and cons? Is a CPA after accounting MBA feasible and worth it? I want to remain at the Department of Energy, but want the flexibility to have jobs outside of the government. What track is the most sought after?

Full context....I graduated college with a undergrad degree in Parks and Rec. The weakness of the degree is a big reason why an MBA is important to me. After serving 8 years in the military as an infantry and signal officer I currently work for the Department of Energy as a business analyst. Only other notable training/credential is I have my PMP.

Thanks in advance....
