Anyone else use music to get them hyped for the upcoming season? I know I sure do. Someone had mentioned our band playing March Grandioso. I just had to break it out along with other favorites.

This is from Live at the Lied in 1993. I love the great school fight songs, Michigan's Hail to the Victors and Notre Dame's Victory March. None of them seem a match for Hail Varsity. It must be that lump in the throat factor. No one else has that. No matter how many times I hear it I get that feeling. I have a feeling we are going to be hearing Hail Varsity a lot more in the coming years. You know what I'm talking about! :D

Anyone else have a collection of Husker music that they would recommend? I've got a disc of Texas A&M that a buddy let me copy, but that's the extent of my college marching band collection.

Fight Music is a great website for band music for most colleges. I play Husker music in my classroom as often as I can!! Winking

I personally liked the Gungan Fight Song that Oregon played what seemed like after every first down.

I also like the Hawkeye Victory Polka but NDSU Gold Star Marching Band plays it so much better. It is “In heaven there is no beer...”

Chip Davis has some pretty cool Nebraska music out there...

It sounded like they played the song "One" by Metallica at one point about 7-10 years ago. I could be wrong though.

Love it! I didn’t know all the actual titles of them. I’d like to buy a CD or download those. I’ll play them when I cruise Boulder. Thanks!

I'd like to add a couple more that I think are worth hearing and that I enjoy:

Our first fight song before Hail Varsity;
The Cornhusker, (Come a Runnin' Boys)

Just a fun listen.
