I can't see the map on my laptop. Don't have my phone handy to check on that.

Here's a link to the PIC. I wasn't able to see it either, maybe time for me to update my browser. Thanks for the post HTO. Not surprisingly, we've reached out for our recruits, though we have a number of 500 mile radius guys in this class.

Maybe some time if I'm bored I'll take a look at Nebraska demographics over time. Am wondering if the state has gotten "older" and our youth population isn't as high as it used to be, which has probably been discussed multiple times on here. Point being, seems like we could be producing more D1 prospects. Will do a not so thorough look at NE D1 rated prospects (2* and higher) on the fly.

2017 - no rated players at this time
2016 - 8 total, 6 = 3*, 2 = 2*
2015 - 10 total, 3 = 3*, 7 = 2*
2014 - 10 total, 4 = 3*, 6 = 2*
2013 - 7 total, 1 = 4*, 2 = 3*, 4 = 2*
2012 - 9 total, 4 = 3*, 5 = 2*
2011 - 15 total, 2 = 4*, 3 = 3*, 10 = 2*
2010 - 14 total, 1 = 4*, 13 = 2*
2009 - 12 total, 1 = 4*, 5 = 3*, 6 = 2*
2008 - 11 total, 1 = 5*, 1 = 4*, 5 = 3*, 4 = 2*
2007 - 16 total, 1 = 4*, 4 = 3*, 11 = 2*
2006 - 15 total, 1 = 4*, 4 = 3*, 10 = 2*
2005 - 10 total, 1 = 4*, 1 = 3*, 8 = 2*
2004 - 14 total, 7 = 3*, 7 = 2*
2003 - 10 total, 3 = 4*, 2 = 3*, 5 = 2*
2002 - 21 total, 4 = 4*, 3 = 3*, 14 = 2*

And 2002 is where Rivals starts or ends. Has been awhile since we've homegrown a blue chipper. Maybe Austin Allen or some others can change that this next year.

There is no doubt that the rural/small town high school populations have shrunk dramatically. Most rural high schools have less than half the number of kids that they used to. In the larger towns, there probably as a percentage aren't as many kids playing football as there used to be either. There's a helluva bunch more of them playing soccer or sitting on their ass in front of a smart phone doing nothing too.

Ummm.... Ok? I was going try and explain the differences to you, but decided Tony Bynum does a better job than I could. Here is the Montana I know: Crown of the Continent

If that reminds you of the Dakotas, so be it.
When I was a kid my dad took me on a camping trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. It was through the company linked below. We rode horseback through the mountains all day, all the gear was on pack mules. No motorized/electric ANYTHING allowed up there. It was awesome. Nothing sucks about eating the trout you caught 10 minutes ago. And the best water you've ever tasted in your life is when you drink it right out of the spring coming out the side of the mountain.

It remains unchanged, and they have even added acres to it. A true wilderness!
