There are many ways to go with the mini-fame that goes along with college football stardom. Girls would be a hard one for young men to pass up. Obsessing and manipulating for NIL money etc.
I'll be honest, I once ran into a small group of NU stars that started coming into the gym (during summer), they ran the gamut of being very outgoing and likeable (same guy is our current AD) to being outright jerks.
But out of fairness it's hard to maintain a sense of modesty when you're at your highest testosterone levels and giant crowds are cheering for you and kids want your autograph. That's a lot to handle at 18-20 years old. I am sure I would have lost my grounding.
We have someone to truly cheer for and a sports star worth admiring. It's great to use those advantages to do good in the world. It needs to continually to be encouraged.
