A college football podcast I listen to often talk about teams having "Luck Runs Out" games, and this is 100% what happened to us tonight. We've had sloppy-to-average play for a while now, especially on offense, but have been able to overcome it due to solid defensive play, catching some breaks, and playing an easy schedule against overmatched opponents. Tonight, we ran into a superior team in all aspects and we were not able to get away with any of the mistakes or poor play.
We are not as bad of a team as we showed tonight. If, and I mean IF, Tommy is healthy, I see no reason why we can't finish the season 10-2. As for tonight, not much more to do but forget about it and move forward.
