4-0 leading Summit League. Beat NDSU on road ending a long home court win streak, and just came back to beat Craig Smith's USD team on the road. They've got an identity and before today, led nation in steals. Fun team to watch.

I Plan on going to the NDST game February 13th. Be a hoot making the dance and people would quit bitching about why they cancelled Wrestling.Winking

I want to get to that game too. Will be even more intense after Mavs knocked them off already.

Was in town last week for a week and got down to Lincoln for a Husker game and Omaha for a Creighton game...drove by Baxter looks pretty impressive UNO is completely different from when i was there in the 90s. Very good chance for 2 Nebraska teams in the dance this year

Very good chance? That was a jk...right?

Very impressed - deep bench of athletes and shooters who play aggressive defense and attack on offense. If they continue to improve, the Mavs will be a very tough out in the Summit League tourney. The way they are playing, a high seed is probable.

Mavs have to win the Summit league tournament - as its probably a one-bid league this year. Certainly, they have a team that can do so. Creighton probably also has to win the tournament (and of course anyone can get hot on one weekend). They could get close by winning more games than not against the bottom half of the league. But, their OOC results were bad enough that they almost have to get into the top four of the conference to get an at-large. They are good enough to take care of the first part (win against bottom half teams), but they are probably not quite good enough to get into the top 4 of the league.

11 Big East wins may get them in...depending on who they beat. Their RPI is not going to be good enough unless they win 11-12 Big East games. And their SOS won't be good enough either. Crappy non-con may do them in.

Omaha has been impressive as of late, but I do think that SDSU is still the leader to go from the conference.
