They are beating Oklahoma 41-23 right now and controlling the game. Why are they doing so much better than the Huskers rebuild. Do they have a better coach? We have much better talent than K-State yet we are struggling badly. Update- 48-23 in the 4th. Announcer just stated KSU is rolling Oklahoma and previously stated they are doing it running power football.

The Big 12 is not the physical gauntlet that the Big 10 is. That helps a lot. If he was in the Big 10 with that roster he would be middle of the road which is what he is so far at kstate
KState is an example of a situation where the coach (Snyder) has instilled a pretty good culture and recruited to his systems. THEN you bring in a winning coach who runs systems modeled largely after that program so that they don't miss a beat. Their new head coach was a BIG fan of Snyder. Seamless transition which puts them in a pretty good position to deliver similar results to Snyder. The question for KSU will be IF they can recruit at a higher level going forward with a younger coach now. They hired a good coach. It's just a matter if he can recruit to the power 5 level.
Good for them. It'll never win them anything at the national stage. Ask WI that has been trying to do it since BA became an AD. They haven't won a Rose Bowl since the BA years and when they won conference titles it was when Ohio State and Michigan and Penn State were all down at the same time.

Don't sell KSU and their new coach short. He's shown that he's an excellent coach. I won't be one bit surprised to see them contending in the Big 12 very soon.
Why do Nebraska fans always talk about having better talent, and yet always complain about that talent? It is really perplexing.

When KSU was ranked #1 in 2012 they had 58 walk-ons on the team. It doesn't just take players with stars.
We didn’t have our top WR or all purpose RB for Pokes or Baylor and it showed offensively. They were there for Miss State, and our last two wins and made a huge difference to keep defenses honest.
