Below in this thread are live updates from Nebraska head football coach Scott Frost's radio show on the Husker Sports Network.

Segment 1
  • It was our most complete game in a long time. "That's what it's supposed to look like.
  • Frost said the new Unity Walk last week was "awesome." The plan is to continue doing it that way.
  • On the new suits: The kids kind of asked for it and really wanted it. It turned out really nice.
  • The week of practice has been really good. The preparation has been good once again this week.
  • On night games, Frost said obviously the challenge is waiting. He watches more film and even went home and saw his wife and son for a while and hit golf balls with him in the backyard during the downtime.
  • Guys have to keep good eyes and stay disciplined. This game will come down to who can run it and stop the run. Whoever is forced to throw is going to have a hard time Saturday.
  • JoJo told Frost today "he still hasn't played his best football yet" and he wants to keep getting better.
  • Javin Wright, Isaac Gifford and Myles Farmer can all do some of the same things JoJo can do.
  • Frost said he wasn't expecting to see the light show, but it was unbelievable.
  • Running the option each week forces people to have to prepare for more each week.
  • Frost talked about his McCook days and skipping lunch going to Senhart's bakery and grabbing a donut.
  • Frost was asked about when Domann and Culp talked about working on sudden change situations on The Beat Podcast. JoJo said he wished they did more fire drill type situations on field goal. Frost said they try to do that kind of stuff.
  • Frost said Fidone looks a little rusty, but they hope they can get him in four games this year now.

Segment 2
  • Frost hopes to have more women's camps and clinics going forward this year.
  • This league is a physical league. He said the first year they learned they were not strong enough. You can't spread it out and just throw it in this league. You have to be able to run it. There are draft picks on every team.
  • The offensive line took a giant step forward. We have to keep moving people and keep a low pad level.
  • Frost didn't want to get into a 1997 discussion about Nebraska vs. Michigan other than saying he liked that team against anyone they played.
  • Frost said they have to be sound on special teams this week as Michigan can really hurt them in this area.
  • A caller told a story about facing Frost in a junior high baseball game in McCook and he was impossible to get out. Joked you could have been a good baseball player.
  • Casey Rogers is almost back to his old self. They need to play strong up front.
  • Damian Daniels could only play one or two snaps. Now he's in much better shape and one of the most vocal leaders on the team.
Segment 3
  • Frost was happy Oliver Martin caught all the punts. That was a step in the right direction, but now they need return yardage.
  • Phalen Samford is on scholarship for this semester for things he's done for this team.
  • Will Honas is going to try to come back for another year. He's still with the team working hard behind the scenes doing what he can.
  • Frost said he can't wait for basketball season and watch Fred Hoiberg's team. He also said he has a great relationship with John Cook and appreciates his support and always being present at the football games on the sideline.
Segment 4
  • Frost said Marcus Castro-Walker, Dave Ellis and Duval all deserve credit for bringing Jaquez Yant along both physically and helping him adapt to life in Lincoln.
  • Frost said Coach Osborne has been such a mentor in his life and like a father figure.
  • Frost said Markese Stepp is doing well, but he still doesn't think he's back to 100 percent. It takes a while to get your body right after missing the entire off-season.
  • Michigan is a very talented team that plays hard and play smart and they get after you on special teams. Frost said they are better equipped to play with Michigan than 2018.
  • Frost said they have done their best to take care of the team after this 8 game stretch without a bye. The players know they have 9 days left of hard work before they get a break on their bodies.
