Craft beer lover here. And it's damn great to have so many excellent breweries popping up in Nebraska over the past several years.

List:
Infusion (Omaha)
Benson (Omaha)
Zipline (Lincoln)
Blue Blood (Lincoln)
Nebraska Brewing (Omaha)
Thunderhead (Kearney)
Empyrean (Lincoln)
Lucky Bucket (Omaha)
Scriptown (Omaha)
Upstream (Omaha)

If I had to pick a favorite or two, Empyrean would be up there for my "old school" pick being they've been around a bit. Burning Skye and Third Stone Brown are excellent go-tos.

Zipline would be up there too. The Copper Alt is legit. I hear they have a Christmas brew out that's amazing. Haven't tried.

Thunderhead makes a dark wheat called Cornstalker that's awesome as well.

Any faves from the board?

As a beer geek/trader, the best stuff right now is from Nebraska Brewing Company but the only drawback is that you have to go out to Papillion. They have managed to penetrate the CO beer market. There's good beer being made in Benson by both Benson Brewery and Infusion, plus some stellar beers on tap at Krug and Jake's which are within walking distance.

My favorite is Scriptown's, St. Meinrad which is a Belgium Beer. Two is plenty.
Give Scriptown a try.

As a craft beer lover... you are missing the best Nebraska Brewery from that list

Scratchtown out of Ord Nebraska

***I call Scratchtown the Toppling Goliath of Nebraska. Their beer is just on another level then other brewers in Nebraska

Scrachtown in Ord. Great stuff, they have bombers at Hy-Vee (Probably else where, but I only hit Hy-Vee when I am back in the good life). I have been able to find Nebraska Brewing Company in Chicago. Is Monks still around? Also Thundered is legit, big fan of all Cornstalker.

I'm a big fan of Nebraska Brewing's Brunette. Probably my favorite right now.

If you like Imperial IPA's they make a good one called Wonder Twins... They also have an Imperial Porter called Black Eye that is solid!

That's the one common style I kind of shy away from, IPAs. Just not for me.

I haven't been a big fan of most of the Nebraska Brewery beers. Costco down here in Houston carries them, and I haven't liked them. I'm a big fan of the Benson brews though.

Also should probably mention Brickway as they make some solid stuff as well, and this was ment to list some that you didn't list

I've ate at Loops Brewery in McCook a couple of times and enjoyed their Irish Red . Admittedly, I'm not a beer expert, but it was good beer, and even better food

I have to agree with several Scratchtown beers I have had being really good. I live in Papillion, so it is real simple for me to head over to Nebraska Brewing Company which has lots of really good beers. Their Black Betty is a really good stout. I have recently had their Running With The Devil which is their Fathead barleywine aged in rum barrels. Very good. I loved it. I just had Truth Bender a few days ago. It is a big Belgian at about 9 percent. I liked it a lot too. You can get it on tap at the tap room. If you are at Nebraska Brewing, ask for the Nutjob. It is half their Nut Brown Ale and half their IPA. The compliment each other very well.

Nebraska Life magazine just published a fine article about Nebraska breweries. If you don't subscribe, you're missing out. Out this way, Portland is to beer what Seattle is to coffee (and now micro-distilleries). Seems like there's a micro-brewery on every corner in Portland.

Zipline klosch was my go to beer this summer. The parties I had this summer the klosch and Stella went the fastest. Third Stone was good too.

I have relatives in Ord. IT is great beer. I am originally from Kansas City, and their beer holds their own.
