Les Miles to stay at LSU

Payroll at most SEC schools can run pretty high...throw in staff buyouts and thats a tough ask
You don't get to say this very often but Mark May was right. If I am at LSU this morning I'm asking my AD why he shouldn't be fired. He could not have handled this worse.

mark is right, fans tend to be unreasonable. myself included.
Most LSU fans, alumni etc wanted Miles to stay. It was a small lynch mob that tried to do a power play that failed miserably.
The AD basically said he hadn't made a decision until the 3rd quarter last night. I think the fan reaction had to play a part in that decision. I'm guessing he was leaning toward removing Les due to the booster pressure and finally sacked up and remembered that it was HIS job to make that call.
They should have held a hunger strike. Seems to work for big positions at other major schools.
We won't eat until Miles is fired.
Racism claim would have done wonders as well. Doesn't matter if it didn't happen, it gets results.
That is good news for us...you have to assume that Riley was on their short list to replace Miles.
Horribly handled by the LSU AD and admin. I find it fascinating how incompetent people in high leadership positions like these can be.
Why would any school try to get Riley. He was 5-7. Look at some other 1st year coaches. FLORDIA, Houston etc. Those guys can coach. They lost star players and still put up 2 losses for Florida and 1 loss for UH. Florida lost their best player(QB) and Houston had to sit their QB due to injury on their loss.
Both teams are in conference championships.
Those guys are winners. Riley is a failure in his first year.
I am serious. I think the CF world is laughing at this hire. Did you see the 4 and 3 for NU when they were down 7? It was the duck throw by TA that Newby caught. They were on the 43 of Iowa. You play field position there and pin Iowa deep. You take the points down 11 with 7 mins to go.
These are not hard decisions. These are decisions of a bad staff.
Letting TA throw fade routes on 4 and 1 to Reilly in 2 games is inexcusable.
He did it up 20 against Minnesota and down 11 to Iowa.

I think Herman or McIwain have 2 losses max if they were coaching. That is 5 more wins with the same team.

So the true target of LSU was Fisher? Once he announced he was staying the AD came out and gave his support after the game? How convenient. The announcement by Fisher yesterday seemed odd to me. You are preparing to play UF. Why make that comment about staying or not looking? Weird.
