My son is way into Golden State, so this year we got NBA League Pass and I have watched a lot of games this season. They have a non commercial version so you get more of the stadium vibe.
I have to say, the quality of play and shooting ability has made huge advancements even over the past five years. The European influence has added talent and changed the dynamic. It's a different league if there wasnt guys like Jokich, Embid, Simmons, Luka, Giannini, Kylie, Gobert,....And next year Victor Wembanyama will be the biggest prospect since LeBron. There are just so many guys that can score, that the couple of superstars model LeBron won with has a hard time keeping up and gets outscored. Teams now average closer to 120 ppg vs 90-100 so those 30 points don't translate as much to overall success.
The problem now is college hoops is even more unwatchable. Its a sloppy, poor shooting, horribly officiated affair except for a few teams. In the past, I would watch March Madness without much NBA action prior to it and didn't realize the difference.
We went to a game in Oklahoma City last week and sat right behind the Warriors bench. I could see the plays Steve Kerr was drawing up on his board and hear Curry and Draymond plotting strategy during a time out. Other than when I had sideline passes for NU, can't say there is a better game experience with better access in any sport.
