They should probably do some work to repair they're image. At this point if your looking to the CDC for covid guidance you're a fool.

But just like the Biden administration they’re messaging is has been an absolute cluster fvck.
The CDC's guidance has become a bit of a joke. Their recent update from yesterday is idiotic for one segment of the population:

"Based on emerging evidence on the Delta variant (2), CDC also recommends that fully vaccinated persons wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. Fully vaccinated persons might consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings, regardless of transmission level, if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised or is at increased risk for severe disease, or if someone in their household is unvaccinated (including children aged <12 years who are currently ineligible for vaccination)."

Essentially they are saying kids are recommended to be masked in their own houses 100% of the time even though they are at extremely low risk due to Covid. That makes this a joke. I totally get this part "immunocompromised or is at increased risk for severe disease".

I’ll need to see the charts to be able to make a rational decision.

Because you’re over it, you think the CDC should stop caring and pretend it doesn’t exist?
Covid needs to be put in context. It’s bad for older people and those who have multiple pre existing conditions and autoimmune disorders. If you fall in these categories take the vaccine. For a vast majority of people covid is not a serious virus. The numbers clearly illustrate this, but the media wants to lump everyone together. They never break down the numbers.

Delta seems different for kids. Time will tell.

I’m not buying it myself, but like you said time will tell. I was listening to a NewsBreak on the radio tonight and the reporter said the delta virus is more contagious and possibly more deadly. I thought it was funny to even bring up the possibly more deadly part.

Summary
Delta is different from previous strains
–Highly contagious
–Likely more severe
–Breakthrough infections may be as transmissible as unvaccinated cases
-Vaccines prevent >90% of severe disease, but may be less effective at preventing infection or transmission
–Therefore, more breakthrough and more community spread despite vaccination
-NPIs are essential to prevent continued spread with current vaccine coverage

They aren’t saying that at all. First, the guidance change is to only vaccinated people. The older mask guidance never changed as to unvaccinated people. Secondly, it’s only with respect to public indoor settings.

Yeah. Exactly. As in masks keep your corona from flying across the room, reducing the spread in that manner. Russia as in Paul Manafort was literally sharing voter information with Kilimnik, Donny met in private with him for 2 hours and had the notes destroyed, obstructed the investigation any way they could, etc.

And yes Stormy Daniels, the porn lady that he banged on the side while his wife was at home with new born Barron... where they paid her ~$150k to not talk about it with campaign money.

All facts. But they are not compatible with your feelings for the ole orange man.
Yet none of what you said is remotely true. Wow

I took Covid serious for almost a year —- March 2020 - February 2021. Knowing I was ready to move on with my life, I immediately got the vaccine in April.

With that said, I am not going to listen to the media if they are asking me to live in fear for what will probably be 2 full years.

If the media could ride this out for a decade, they not only would, but they’d actually think they were doing America a favor.

The media and the Demonrats WANT you living in fear.

LOL at rational thought. There isn't a rational thought left in the entire GOP.

Okay, so what's the media and Demonrat rationale behind continually pushing the COVID hysteria while letting thousands of COVID infected illegals flood into our country.

It's kind of like the media and the left continually pushing the all whites are racist, all cops are murderers narrative.

At least acknowledge politicians on both sides of the aisle are anything but rational. Irrational thinkers among politicians is a bipartisan issue not a left or right thing.

Okay, so what's the media and Demonrat rationale behind continually pushing the COVID hysteria while letting thousands of COVID infected illegals flood into our country. Not true. It's not hysteria its. information. Sorry but the virus is real and is still infecting people across this country. remember when it was all going to go away after the election because it was a staged democratic hoax that was media created to get rid of Trump? And illegals are still getting stopped at the border. Stop making it sound like they are just waltzing through.

It's kind of like the media and the left continually pushing the all whites are racist, all cops are murderers narrative. Not true. Simply not true.

At least acknowledge politicians on both sides of the aisle are anything but rational. Irrational thinkers among politicians is a bipartisan issue not a left or right thing.I'll aknowledge to and extent but the right wing crazies are running amok right now and its pretty clear to most casual observers that Really Crazy exist mainly on the right side of the isle.

ReallY?

Dems back growing calls for Congress to probe Covid lab leak theory

The ongoing discussions on Capitol Hill represent a remarkable bipartisan agreement that Congress should investigate the origins of a virus that has killed 3.5 million people worldwide.

Well, you did vote your feelings.
True... I voted against a man I despise for his corruption, deceit, divisive behavior, rude behavior, lack of decorum, illicit activities, nepotism, abuse of authority, outright lying, and the list goes on.

So yes my feeling of disgust and embarrassment with regards to DJT in the white house led to my vote for Biden.

Really doesn't match the original subject matter but whatever...

Oh really and you think the left with their 52 genders is rational!
No the far left fringe is nuts and I don't agree with all of that crap. But right now the head of the snake in the GOP is infested with far right fringe crazy loons. And their base buys their shit hook line and sinker. If the GOP would cut that garbage out along with the Trump cultism, and get back to some sense of normalcy I would consider coming back in.

But as long as the crazies are running the psych ward I'm going to stand with the outside guards and do my best to keep them caged. The far left weirdos concern me a hell of a lot less than the far right, bible thumping, gun toting, trump loving, conspiracy driven dipshits that are attempting to overtake this country.

When was the last time a hard left tranny bigender whatchamacallit went on a shooting spree in America? Sorry to all hard lefties... to each their own but i do agree with bob that the 52 gender thing is ridiculous.

Uh.. yeah it is.

(U) Manafort hired and worked increasingly closely with a Russian national, Konstantin Kilimnik. Kilimnik is a Russian intelligence officer. Kilimnik became an integral part of Manafort's operations in Ukraine and Russia, serving as Manafort's primary liaison to Deripaska and eventually managing Manafort's office in Kyiv. Kilimnik and Manafort formed a close and lasting relationship that endured to the 2016 U.S. elections. and beyond.

(U) Prior to joining the Trump Campaign in March 2016 and continuing throughout his time 6n the Campaign, Manafort directly and indirectly communicated with Kilimnik, Deripaska, and the pro-Russian oligarchs in Ukraine. On numerous occasions, Manafort sought to secretly share internal Campaign information with Kilimnik. The Committee was unable to reliably determine why Manafort shared sensitive internal polling data or Campaign strategy with Kilimnik or with whom Kilimnik further shared that information. The Committee had limited insight into Kilimnik's communications with Manafort and into Kilimnik's communications with other individuals connected to Russian influence operations, all of whom used communications security practices. The Committee obtained some information suggesting Kilimnik may have been connected to the GRU's hack and leak operation targeting the 2016 U.S. election.

And yes he met in private with Putin, in Helsinki for nearly 2 hours and had the notes of the conversation destroyed. It's the same place that Donald sided with Vlad over our own intelligence agencies. They also met in private with no interpreter for Donald in Japan. When asked what they talked about he said 'none of your business'.

You realize any mask outside of an N95 will not protect the wearer, to protects other to have the infected wear it.

There for if kids live with immunocompromised, they are recommending a mask for the kid to not spread it to those people.

Your second paragraph is wrong. They are saying fully vaccinated people should wear a mask at home if they have young kids

“Fully vaccinated persons might consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings, regardless of transmission level, if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised or is at increased risk for severe disease, or if someone in their household is unvaccinated (including children aged <12 years who are currently ineligible for vaccination)."

Read that again. They aren’t saying to wear it home but consider wearing it at ‘public indoor settings’.

OMG duh. Good lord dude. I said in cases of that that's different. I'm talking about the guidance in general for masking indoors for all kids WITHOUT anyone in the household with those issues. How hard is that to realize it's an idiotic policy.
