LB's pre spring

Important this group steps up. Good teams have good linebackers.period.
The positions feel pretty fluid at this point as mentioned when factoring in edge guys and previous nickel players, etc.

It’ll be interesting to see if any young guys can emerge from the fray. I hope coach Dvoracek can get em ready.

Need to cut numbers and then see what is available in the portal between spring practices and fall camp

This unit needs some help

Borders, Henrich, Reimer to start at the 3 LB spots and a slight nod to Isaac Gifford over Omar Brown at nickel. Could be an “or” situation there.

Breakout year: probably Borders, but we could easily see a starter from last year breakout in a better scheme/strategy, maybe Gifford.

I would like to see how these guys develop under Rhules staff, we know most never moved the needle weather it be injuries or just bad training and coaching

Not LBs but I am really interested in seeing if Ty Robinson and Nash up their game. I think Tuioti was a good coach but he wasn't a dynamic recruiter and the DL shelf was very bare.

Kpai is an interesting player to keep an eye on.
Gbayor looked like he had potential coming out of HS, but been silent so far during his first couple years.

Not sure they can outplay the more proven guys, but we desperately need to have quality depth.

Oh yeah and … why did Hausmann have to bail on us?? Would be exciting to have him here. f*ck

I could see us losing 2-3 of this list after spring semester.
Haven’t really seen anything good or even anything at all from the incumbents on the list.

Omar Brown? I know he played more after the coaching but I honestly can't remember him doing anything significant. Gifford on the other hand seemed to be improving quite a bit with more playing time.

Javin Wright is listed at 6-5/215, Brown at 6-1/195 and Gifford at 6-1/200. Wright's measurables and athleticism are tailor made for the position, but is he finally fully healthy?
Javin just needs to make sure he works on the mental part of the game. He cost us big time a couple of times last year and the Wisconsin one hurt.
