The rule here is if the receiver is even and you can see the defenders back, you throw it. Instead, Tommy shoulder faked and threw it late and let the safety get there. If he would have thrown it right away, he hits Stanley inside the 10 yard line and you probably have a TD. Just goes to show how quickly reads need to be made and a second can make a difference.

TA has never had that part of the game down in all honesty, but I think he had about the best game we could have expected in my opinion.

yes but look at how poor the offensive line was blocking on that play ... how can he perform when he is under that type of pressure

TA had pretty darn good protection that night ... far better than Wisconsin's QB did

There was a crossing route that Tommy missed. I believe it was to Reilly. Tommy missed it because he threw off his back foot falling away. There was no pressure there and if he hits Reilly, it's a big gainer. When Tommy sets his feet and steps into his throws, he is very good. He just loses that at times and becomes very erratic.

Woulda Coulda Shoulda. Thinking about it can drive you mad. That's what happened to this friend of mine. So he had a lobotomy. Now he's well again.
