Larry Scott appreciation thread

it was not long ago, in a different conference ....that ut, 0u and a couple others were going to the pac..
this propelled Dr. Tom into action and got us into the big 11...
we are going to make about 100 million next year...

but due to the lhn, some big 12 north teams survived...like ksu and isu...
it would probably have been better if they died...(more recruiting choices for us)
now they make about 31 million next year.....

we are looking at a 69 million dollar difference here per year..
and we make more then ut and 0u will in the sec (lol)
in the most academically respected conference..
the harvard of the plains, this has been evident thru the years.

I have seen alot of folks bad mouth larry scott, the last couple days...
unjustly
allways remember remember providence can use anyone, at any time for the good life.

so going forward, be thankful to larry scott, (but not so much the lhn)..

Unjustly? As one who has much closer connections to ASU than NU -- though as an NU alum, I will always be a Husker fan — I believe Michael Crow has been a great ASU President when it comes to academics. But much like a certain former UNL Chancellor who gets regularly ripped here for his athletics decision making, Crow gets no A grades when it comes to his stewardship of ASU athletics. And his biggest fault was being Larry Scott‘s biggest booster, when the guy overspent and underdelivered for more than a decade. The PAC-12 network has been a disaster and Scott left his successor with a mess.

Obviously you have reasons for defending Scott. I salute you for taking a lonely position. Scott has few defenders and Crow’s support of him to the bitter end would have probably sunk most ASU Presidents but for the fact he has done a great job, excluding athletics.

I guess I look at results...and the results say 69 million more then we would have been making.
and larry may not have known he was a instrument for better at the time.
I mean, look at the remaining teams left to pick..fsu, clemson, etc...they are not saying sec..they are saying B1G...
of course Dr. Tom's wisdom in the matter is a novel...but I just thought it proper to give scotty his props..
he gave it all he got...

I don't have an opinion on Larry Scott good or bad. I just know that if I reply to a thread where Tuco doesn't crash in and destroy my self esteem, then I've had a successful day of life.
