Here's the article.

They say we'll get Joseph Lewis, Jamire Calvin, Damion Daniels, Rahyme Johnson, Trajon Cotton, and Chevin Calloway to fill out our 2017 class.

Quran Hafiz could be our next commit based on TOS, and he's not even on the list.

Using landof10's list, we would score 2073 points. This is a list of previous years and where 2073 points falls in team ranking:

2013 -> 15th
2014 -> 17th
2015 -> 18th
2016 -> 19th

That would be a great end to the class, but I think we would like to take a class RB and another OT.

I haven't followed recruiting so closely this year, but there are some OL recruits still bringing our name up.

I don't know what our class make up is targetted for this year. I also think we would be wanting another RB in this class. The last discussion I remember on here was concentrated on Nathan Tilford and Jamari Peacock. And that was quite awhile ago. Of which, Peacock may still be considering us and is the only uncommitted RB on the herald's bigboard.

They are only putting us at 21. I don't see any chance we take less than 23 and it's possible we take a full 25.

That would be a great finish...but I'm guessing we get at max two of the above players.

Thinking full 25 schollys given and four of names in the OP end up in Lincoln. Thinking actually 5 with the CB Hafiz.

See finishing top 15-16 and likely 5th in conference rankings or better.

We won't know are chances of landing them until they sign. So, getting two of them might be correct. This was landof10's list, good or bad, it was just a convenient starting point. While I haven't followed recruiting as closely as last year, I've still tried to keep up on the main players. So here's my not-so-expert opinion.

Rahyme Johnson - Sounded like he was pining for an Oregon offer, well he got it. BUT, he didn't commit on the spot, like his fellow teammate did, on the same official to Oregon. Gut feeling, the longer he waits to commit, the more likely he chooses us. Most assume he is going to Oregon though.

Trajon Cotton - I have never really figured out why he would want to come here. We have 6 safeties coming back next year. Plus, he's not all that big, unless he has "IT", he's in a logjam for seeing the field.

Now that leaves the other 4. Lewis to NU looks so likely, that you could almost utter that dirty 4-letter word (i.e. L # C K, had to substitute the # for the letter "O", don't want to get banned for bad language). Calvin, it's either us or notre dame or something out of left field. And, I think (not know) that Calvin is considered a pretty heavy NU lean. I could see an upsetting of the apple cart here dependent on Keith Williams court outcome and potential sentencing.

That only leaves Damion Daniels and Chevin Calloway, oh, did we forget to mention that they are on the same high school football team. Daniels looks to be coming here if it's still close enough to home. Calloway is still committed to iowa for now, so who knows.

I've rambled on long enough, GBR!
