Lack of Athletes on Defense, Switching Positions

The team speed on defense is pretty obviously terrible as was indicated by all the long touchdown runs by OU. There seems to be a lot of extra depth at some offensive positions including RB, WR, and even QB. I think Smothers is a guy that could be a decent safety if he wanted to switch (speed is certainly there). We have a couple RBs not getting many snaps that might be converted to LBs.
