Kiffin out before title game...

Nick saban is savage. Just saw an interview with him about it. Was politically correct but he expects nothing but the best fro his assistants. Took the blame as a staff for his qb in the last game.

Kiffen called a brutal game against Washington and Nick tells him hit the road. That takes major balls right before the championship

Saban better hope Sark can focus on the game.

Idk about the play calling. I think Bama ran it 50 some times and threw in the teens. It hid their weak link, the Bama Qb and his turnovers and let the defense win the game.

Saban may feel that Sark is less of a cancer and more a team player under Saban's thumb than Kiffin is. No more "ass chewings". No more "missing the bus." No more coordinators having their own press conferences. The Saban Way.

But a lot of those running plays were slow-developing, QB-centered nonsense that the Washington defense crushed. Kiffin avoided the power running game like the plague until a UW punt pinned Alabama back at the 2-yard line. Then he got back to basics and Scarbrough pounded out 98 yards. Why Bama didn't do that when they had great field position (which was pretty much the entire rest of the game) is beyond me.

The guy banged Erin Andrews though, so he must have serious game...drunken booger-eater and all.

Did u watch the game? They literally had no shot of stopping Scarborough. He was averaging 9 yards a pop and Lane continued being cute on first down and it was killing drives. Not only that I believe just about every time that got cute they had penalties. I'm all for balance, but when you are physically destroying somebody up the middle just do it until they stop it.

Yea I did an I am sure Saban was up his ass making sure he ran the ball. Bama eventually wore them down since they ran 50 plus times. He didn't get fired for his on the field play calling. It was due to his off the field antics of not being about the team.

Bama's formula is pretty simple, run the ball, don't let the freshman Qb make mistakes, and let the defense win the game. If you want to bitch Scarborough could have taken some of Hurt's carries then bitch, but Bama played the game they wanted to. Bama was playing the game knowing Washigton wasn't going to score, so they ran the ball and limited Hurt's throwing. That might not work against Clemson.

I'm not sure why anyone sees Kiffin as worthy of being an OC. Bama fans enjoyed him for some reason but he's never impressed me with his duties. Alabama isn't a pretty offense, they don't rack up the numbers of a top offense but they will grind it out and compliment their defense with it. Kiffin doesn't seem to understand this and I know Saban hated it based on some of his sideline reactions to plays being called. That and bubble screen mania is not how you run an offense.

I really hope Clemson clobbers Bama. I don't want the 95 Huskers eclipsed as the best team of all time

This Bama team is not the greatest of all time. Great defense but their offense is far from perfect. Right now is that time of year when people are wondering if Alabama has a weakness and if they're beatable. Usually when that happens Alabama loses a game shortly after. Happened with A&M, then Ole Miss, etc. Clemson has the team that can beat Alabama this season. They have a solid defense and a very good offense, an offense that put up good numbers on Alabama last season. Washington played well against Bama defensively but they don't have the Clemson D and I don't think they've been as tested as Clemson has. My only issue with Clemson is making mistakes. They seem prone to them but they've been good enough to over come those mistakes (Louisville,etc.). If they do that against Bama can they continue to over come them? We'll see, I'm hoping Clemson gets it done.
