And depth isn't lacking here?
As a graduate you can. Just like Jake Rudock last year from Iowa to Michigan.so you can transfer within conference and play right away?
I don't know crap about what goes on behind the scenes, but I never got this impression. Last year with all those other guys playing, Williams still got after it when he played. I would have a hard time believing he would be less than third in playing time. Then again, he may have simply checked out and was passed by all these guys due to effort. I don't know. Not really. We are young at DT but depth is solid. Even after losing Colins, Valentine and McMullen, Williams was essentially 5th on the depth chart behind the Davis twins, Stoltenberg and Maurice and was in danger of being passed by Peyton Newell.
This definitely gets filed under WTF. I guess I don't understand unless they guaranteed him admission to medical school or something. And depth isn't lacking here?
I don't know about this guy's status at NE but State really needs to add depth on the DL so William's should be in the rotation if not start. MSU lost 3 DL to graduation, 2 other quality DL left the program for unspecified personal reasons after spending time in Dantonio's doghouse for unspecified reasons and another guy just announced he has decided to leave with his degree and start his law enforcement career and forgo a final year. So we are glad to have the help.
Holy crap scarletred. What's been the deal with your posts? You've turned really negative as far asthe program goes.Hope he stays healthy for you guys so he can make any kind of difference that would be able to help your team out.....

Actually you kind of have. It's like our roles have reversed. Seriously, are you dealing with personal stuff cause your tone has changed. And I'm not talking football.Do you actually think this guy going to stay healthy for a whole season when he couldn't do it here? I DON'T.
Wishing a guy good health isn't turning on our program.
And No I haven't been negative.

I just noticed your posts in the last 6 months have not been your usual self. Maybe this post was the wrong time to bring it up considering the subject matter. What are you talking about then?
Saying Jake Meyers is a stud, and thinking Black Friday winner will determine the West and with the new addition to our Offensive line class building a new Pipeline. That's negative maybe you need to point out were I've been so negative.
best of luck to him!off to Michigan State?
Have fun. Based on my visit there, Lansing makes Lincoln look like a bustling hub of commerce and nightlife and the girls at MSU peak at about a 7. Colder, more boring, and you beat that team last year. All solid reasons to go there...
AND this is a good point; which may have figured into his decision. Plus he needs a shot; and our young-uns are physical work out leaders with strong responsibilities and thriving with a great new coach. Would prefer he go out of conference; but off schedule gives him teams to play he knows and his only chance to make it too a next level if he feels he would be a roll player here. No hiding he already had a chip on his shoulder here. Hope we keep a great relationship; or doors open for the future - with this staff, its up to him. Lets not forget, they meet with every player and tell them where they stand. GBROh well, MSU isn't on the schedule, unless both make it to the CCG.
I think one thing that we might all be missing is that maybe Williams cares about winning a title rather than playing at a school that is now a perennial 9-4 type team. Did anyone else notice in his quotes where he said he was excited to be playing for a Championship" caliber program? I can't help but think that was both a dig at Nebraska and an expression of his desire to play for a team that actually wins something of signifigance. My instinct says he feels disrespected at Nebraska and feels like going to a rival is somehow sticking it to us. He was going to play this year. He already knows the system. Why not stick it out with your buddies and try to lead these young guys in turning it around? Then, you hang it up and you're a Husker legacy, always welcomed back in the years ahead with arms open wide. Now? Hit the bricks.

To be fair, that's only because the fans and administration were holding him down. The fact that he might actually play or even start at MSU would quickly indicate that Sparty is far from having a "Championship Caliber" interior DLine this year. As much as his deluded mind wants to think that he was a starter for us, he was a perennial backup and the #4 or #5 interior DLinemen on a 6-7 team.
I tend to get a chuckle at your stuff.....To be fair, that's only because the fans and administration were holding him down.
It's a conspiracy I tell yaI tend to get a chuckle at your stuff.....
Ummmm. I for one agreed. He had everything working against him here. One could easily argue that it's an upward move from 6-7 to a BCS playoff team. In addition he has a direct path at starting where it was questionable at Nebraska.
Let a guy make a rationale decision FOR HIM before crucifying him.

Don't forget the media! To be fair, that's only because the fans and administration were holding him down.
