3rd for the Razorbacks in the NCAA indoor 200M, also qualified in the 60M and ran a leg on the 4X400. Could conceivably be an individual champ before he's done and was on the winning outdoor 4X100 as a frosh. Dude is a serious track guy. I remember Cotton related FB threads, but what was the deal with Pepin not getting this guy to NU?

He was SEC track bound from the get go. Knew that's where the best competition was. He is a great kid/student by the way

there are very few places out there where track and field and/or cross country is taken seriously by the university and the athletes are given some modicum of respect on campus

Arkansas is one of only a handful that come to mind (Oregon, Colorado are 2 others)

if you have a chance to go to one of these places - you go

I do not think there is an equivalent to Oregon T&F in football or basketball, although Bama and Duke and the UCONN women come close. The legend of Pre, Hayward Field is legendary for both national and international competition. Given their rep, they are able to stack mid-distance and distance runners like cord wood, and also are comepetitive in field events. Doesn't hurt that Phil Knight is an alum of the program.
