Keagan

Got hurt, not sure he played one snap this whole year. I'm sure our Hawk bretheren will fill us in.

EDIT: Checked stats, played in 2 games in 2022 - 2 catches, 11 yards, 0 TDs

Played briefly against Nevada earlier in the year and then played like 7 snaps against NE (that’s it for the year). Did have hamstring issues lingering from late last year. But there was significant smoke he knew was transferring at the end of the year and was basically holding himself out of games to preserve a year of eligibility. Can’t really say I blame him based on our offense.

in other words he was their leading outside receiver

absolutely hilarious he told father & son to pound themselves and just sat out in order to get ready for his next stop

classic

Keagan had a bad hamstring and I think only played in one or two games. I have heard rumors that Arland Bruce, another WR at Iowa could be entering the transfer portal. He would make a great slot receiver, but Iowa had to use him as WR1 because they had WR injury problems, however, I have heard that K State might be where he could end up as he is from Overland Park KS Arland Bruce is in the mold of Charlie Jones, who transferred to Purdue last year

He hated it there, hated their lame offense and the staff. He only went there for one (forced) reason.

the kid who fumbled the punt against us?

pass. he sucks

or skilled

Toure had back to back 1k seasons before coming to NU

Palmer had world-class track speed

this kid had his chance to come here and chose incorrectly. them's the breaks
Palmer is fast, not world-class, not even close.

We’ve got walk on WRs as fast as him. We need to recruit better talent than him.
i agree - but this class isn't going to be high quality
I have questions about the our current WR commits sticking

and it is a chance to calm the in-state waters a bit that may be beneficial in coming years

The fastest football players do not have world class speed. Palmer is pretty damn fast for a WR. Keagan didn't run track after his sophomore year, but ran an 11.34. Probably would have dipped under 11 had he continued running. Respectable speed, but he isn't going to blow anyone's doors off.

As a 6th grader, my son won the State 100 meters in 11.36 electronic. FACT.

Since I'm boasting, in the same meet he won the State Shot Put coming within 1" of the national record. Breaking Scott Frost's shot put record in the process.
That state shot put record still stands 29 years later.

Eventually, that record will be broken, and I say that because I thought Gale Sayers' long jump record would never fall, yet, it was broken.

Kids are getting bigger, stronger, and faster...

Kinda like the Huskers should have been doing for the last 5 years.

Seemed like a good kid and flashed some talent when he was healthy. Only played in one game meaningfully this year and reaggravated his hamstring it seemed. Nebraska would kind of seem like the logical choice but I think Notre Dame was hot after him initially as well.

If Notre Dame wants him he should by all means go there. That degree is worth a lot.

Well, who knows, if Cade McNamara does indeed go to Iowa, maybe Keagan would consider changing his mind. They have a 5* tackle coming in next year and I have read that they plan on hitting the transfer portal for WR's and lineman. Their OL sucked the past couple years.
