One year too late. Hopefully he's done being a unibomber to the program.

Good. If the guy had kept his cool, rolled with Bo's firing, not attended the infamous final meeting, etc. he might have been retained by Riley. He wasn't a bad coach or recruiter, just a loose cannon. If he was still coach here, Valentine and Williams might still be here too. Riley would have taken a dim view of the spouse abuse stuff, but I think that happened after the firing.

DL Coaches are abundant. Sometimes it is just better to cut the cord and call it good. As hard as it is to choke down, the Hawk posters were 100% correct on this one.

there was no way in hell he was going to be retained. Not a chance.Eichorst had a read on him long before the meeting fiasco.

His reputation is well known even to coaches I know in lower division colleges. I can't say for 100% certainty but I would have been shocked if he had been retained by the current staff. Either he wants out of football or he could not find a good job. Take your pick.

Anyone who thinks DL coaches are growing on trees should reconsider that thinking. Where exactly are all of these wiz coaches for the DL?

I suppose the correct response is: Show me a school playing WITHOUT a DL Coach. There are lots of coaches out there, either unemployed or willing to make a move. If Quality is the question, then yes, that is open for debate.

After all the crap he's pulled by continuing to poison the well, I hope like hell that our athletic department keeps very close tabs on him, and if they catch wind of him getting close to getting a gig back in coaching, they get in touch with that head coach considering hiring him and sink Kaz like a stone.

The one head coach he would go to for a job doesn't care what our athletic department thinks, never did, never will.

My bad, I assumed you actually wanted more than a warm body.

Nice "feel bad" piece by suckhole. Any article written about the woman-beater, that ignores the fact he is a woman-beater is gross. Suckhole would be better off at Pedo State.
Absolutely this. What motivation does he have to write an article about a coach who was fired with such a horrible reputation? I realize he probably doesn't have anything to write about because he isn't spoon-fed stories anymore, but my God, there are a thousand better people in the athletic department to write about.

He has "a lot" of friends in the business who are head coaches and was "really close" to taking another job (his for the taking), but opted instead for a position as a regional director for a medical transport company. Riiiiiight.
Exactly. Just like Pelini saying he had jobs lined up, but deciding to take the YSU job instead. Thats like saying that you could have worked for NASA, but decided to take a job as a crop duster instead.

There will be others that will give him the chance, and I hope we are right there to pounce on any opportunities that may arise and quickly snuff them out.

I like it. A crop duster reference. Well done.

Because besides that whole "beats his wife" thing, he's a great guy?

Kaz is a douche either way, but many coaches could look past the other stuff if they thought he could help their program win. The DV charge takes it to another level and makes him essentially unemployable at a D-1 school right now, as it should.

Um, I didn't say anything remotely close to that, but feel free to keep exaggerating and lying if it makes you feel good.
Chill holmes. Just felt your post could have used a little more and we dont need being a deplorable piece of garbage wife beater glossed over as just "without the DV charge". Thats all

Kaz torpedoed his own career and he gets to live with it. NU doesn't need to, and shouldn't, go out of its way to stomp that bug. It's beneath us frankly.

Edit: not us as fans, we can trash him all day long! Meant the university going out of its way as some have suggested.

Just wondering, would a HC at another school call the AD as a reference check about a D-Line coach? Seems like that wouldn't even happen but I am not sure.

Didn't like kaz at all after watching him coach and talking with players. Beaten wife or not, he would not have fit on Riley's staff. As much as I wanted bo gone I can say I was more relieved that kaz would be out the door. I'm not surprised there is job search trouble...this stuff gets around and he's pulled crap at,two major programs now.

I was loosely suggesting that if our athletic department heard of him pursuing a job opportunity, we should make sure his prospective future employer knows of his transgressions. The guy has undermined our defensive coaches from the moment they were hired, and it would be nice to pay back all of the behind the scenes work he put in.

I'm not that serious about the suggestion, but he is going to walk away from this completely unscathed, after a year of working behind the scenes to undermine our new staff.
