Just a quick reminder this will not be a quick fix, have to develop

I disagree, OP

This is just another reminder that the B1G media are dweeb virgins whose only experience with football is getting shoved into lockers by players in high school

There is not a single word written by B1G media that is worth reading. Not one.

I will add PFF is best used in arrears, not projection

Outside of this upcoming season, the results have been in line with the projected lack of talent. That said, things can change pretty damn quickly with the right leadership and coaching, which I’m confident we now have.

I tried to support the Frost regime until Illinois a couple years back. In that time, I've never managed to hold onto anything that wasn't my own. This has become tougher as things get closer to the floor over time.

Another reminder of just how worthless Frost was

I’ll give Rhule halfway through year 2, then it’s all fair game.

I think we will look good year 2. And relatively speaking our schedule is easy.

You and I are in lockstep. I said I would give the man and his staff 1 1/2 years to show real progress.

I'll wait until closer to the first game getting played before I make my prediction on the season's result. That said, this isn't super surprising to me given the combination of roster turnover and obviously a change in coaching staffs. Given where the program has been the last 7ish years, I don't blame any media member for not going out on a limb with preseason awards. Hopefully the players use this as motivation to prove people wrong and we don't see this happen again any time soon.

^^^^^^^^^^^^This 100. I don’t give a shit what they did last year or before. New Year, New Coaching staff, New Team.

They weren’t developed or coached right under the previous staff. I’m not saying it will be a quick turnaround, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a lot quicker than some expect.

The previous staff didn’t set a good example for the players and they had no motivation to bust their asses for Frost.

Not saying they’ll run through a brick wall for Rhule, maybe they will. However, I would bet that they respect him enough that they really don’t want to disappoint him. Same can’t be said for Scotty.

Looks like the truth to me. Who steps up this year? Very few if any known talents.

And then Rhule fired out a warning shot, saying ‘You better catch us early’ 😅😅😅

Who would you put on the pre-season B1G team from Nebraska?

I doubt there were many preseason all conference players on Rhule’s first Baylor team. But his last Baylor team took OU to overtime in the conference championship game. Time will tell, I suppose.

Under rated but agree a long long way to go.

DL is the main are that will hurt the nost. Going to give up a lot of rushing yards this year.
Disagree. I would bet dollars to donuts that Nebraska gives up less than 160 yards per game in 2023. There will be more big plays, simply because of the attacking nature of the scheme, but yards per game on the ground will be less than 2022. Syracuse only allowed 148 yards per game on the ground last year with White as the DC.

Schedule will also be a factor. Nebraska only plays 1 team that averaged more than 200 yards per game on the ground, Michigan. There are several teams on the schedule that are going to be chucking the ball all over the field.
