Very true. They are talented and brought it tonight. We are in over our heads, big time.
Wow. Knew it was bad but a full star rank difference on average. When you're starting 3 walk ons on your offensive line against OSU, you're probably in trouble.
Have we even landed a recruit since this season started? Seems like it's been very quiet on the recruiting front the last few months.
Show some class. If you can't see the talent difference on paper then watch the game.
It's still a valid point, like it or not. NW hung in their with tOSU. Hell do Penn State. I know Franklin has done some good recruiting and theirs maybe a tad better... Bottom line, we aren't playing well tonight, regardless of HS star rankings. We're better than this. It's ok. Well regroup and get back to work next week
PSU has better linemen than we do AND they WERE AT HOME and got a ton of breaks. Things have snow balled and that pick 6 to start the game was a killer. You give OSU the lead and good luck.
Football is a LOS game and our lines are so devoid of talent that it makes me want to cry. This DL is the most pedestrian group in decades.
Wish coaches had a star rating...the discrepancy is much bigger there.

Ohio St has talent oozing out their ears. But let's be honest, they also have the advantage on the headsets.
Maurice is better than average but the others are just that. IF we had a difference maker at rush end we might be okay with the other guys but man our DEs get absolutely abused by more talented OTs.

Northwestern and Wisconsin hung with these guys. We are getting demolished for other reasons.
But we lost our leader. Before he went down it looked like we could get it to 24-10. But losing Tommy was HUGE.

Is it just possible that maybe OSU is playing better tonight than they have recently? If they play like this last week, Northwestern gets blown out too.
Or maybe they're just playing a team that's gotten lucky and hasn't played anyone up until this point. There is that.
Of course-I forgot, we're supposed to look at everything the most negative for us and the way that gives us the least credit. Give us credit for anything? No-we can't have that. We're fans-we're supposed to complain and believe all the worst things about our team.
Like it or not Nebraska is a 2nd tier Big Ten team. And that is being extremely generous. I'd say they are even behind the likes of a Wisconsin and Mich St program (I know Mich st sucks this year but overall lately).
I'm not saying we're as good or better than PSU. Just saying we aren't this bad and teams with way less "HS star talent" then tOSU, have hung in with them. Out talent isn't this bad. Hey tOSU played much better tonight then they have. Wish we could have played them last week.

Michigan State doesn't get a pass for this year. There are not 7 teams in this conference better than us. Not even close.
Yes OSU is far more talented. But it's going to take more than 26th-rated recruiting classes to close this talent gap.
Top tier - Michigan, Ohio State
2nd - Wisconsin , Mich St
3rd - Nebraska , Iowa, Penn State (Maybe)
3.5 - Northwestern
