I've never seen a player improve during a season as much or as quickly as Jordy. It's been said over and over on BTN that he has a great attitude in wanting to get better yet it's still amazing to see. One has to wonder how good he will end up given his desire and skill set. I can't wait to see what the S&C staff does with him. He doesn't seem to elevate that well or that quickly but at his height/weight he gets away with it.

While I think Morrow's injury cost the Huskers at least a couple of wins, this may be the silver lining. Tschimanga finally got some time in which the smallest mistake didn't land him on the bench, and that definitely helped his confidence.

Now he just needs to learn to play defense without fouling, which tonight he has done well.

A few tweaks to his fundamentals (passing and keeping the ball high) would damn near double his impact. Excited about his potential

I didn't watch the game tonight....but I really hope he learns how to play above the rim.

He had 10 and 5 at the half and one drop step reverse on the other side of the rim that left me saying wth. He was best described as a project early and he simply isn't the same player now.

I love Chimmychanga. His improvement over this season has been incredible. He is athletic and hustles. But he is still very raw. It's fun to watch him with his post moves.

Beginning of the season I saw him do a great drop step, but he was in bad starting position so he ended up under the rim. Now you see him in better position on the block. Trying up-and-unders. Tries the baby hook. You can tell he is really putting in the work to improve.

Give him a year or two, he's going to be really good.

Jordy's improvement along with the progress of the other youngsters gives me hope and validates the coaching ability of the staff. Love Tai, but the leading scorer needs to shoot a higher percentage. I can't wait to see who emerges in that roll

Jordy has simply improved in one year more than many players improve over the course of three seasons. He may not have the upside of a Patton (Creighton), but he can be a damn good player along the lines of the guys Purdue seems to put on the floor every season. I'm not sure which coach is responsible for post coaching, but it's remarkable what we're seeing. When this guy is a junior/senior, it is not out of the question that he would be averaging 16/17 points per game and 10 rebounds. Those are big boy numbers in the B1G.

i'm still puzzled at him playing 17 minutes last night.
Yeah I mentioned that in the other thread. When he sat down at about the 13:00 mark, I thought he was getting a quick rest before the media timeout. Maybe the plan was for him to play the last 5 or 6 minutes, and the lead got too big for that. But this was an odd way for his night to end.

Lots of players got good minutes. Jordy leaving the game on a high note is important for his development. It will keep him hungry and wanting More

Miles said after the game that was dictated by PSU's lineup, they went small. He said the match ups weren't good for Jordy.
I guess this why BB coaches get paid millions but it never makes sense to me. If I'm up 15 or so points and my young big man is having a breakout game, I'd feed him the ball repeatedly and make PSU pay for going small. But at least Tschimanga's getting 17 minutes instead of being stuck in the single digits, so that's worth something.

That wasn't the way I heard it but he did have difficulty guarding their more athletic big that could shoot from 10-15. Its all good though. Everybody got good playing time and contributed.

Jordy was good and has improved quite a bit. I was hoping he would get the double - double last night. He had 10 points and 5 rebounds in the first half or at some point early in the second, then Coach rested him... Roby was really good and Evan is becoming a very reliable option with a nice burst. Excited for what they can do next................game.
