I agree with the points he wasn't ready for a big time job and that he thought he could turn thing around quickly, but the part about never wanting to be here doesn't make sense to me, and least not at the outset of his tenure. He was THE hot coaching prospect in 2018 - he wouldn't have needed to take a job where he didn't want to be. Plus, big ego people typically aren't willing to stoop to be somewhere they don't want to be.

I think former players, TO, fans, friends and media were all pressuring him to come to NU and he went against his instincts and chose to come. When I was in oregon for the game played there, the fans said Frost would never come here bc he was still bitter about how the fans treated him.
