Lincoln Riley would be a better hire than most people will admit. Immediately elevates teams he joins and is a true QB whisperer.Pete Carroll or Ben Johnson should be the correct answer, but likely Kellen Moore or a Lincoln Riley type. Someone that can be pushed around. Sark perhaps?
Using this Twitter account as any kind of source is a wild and hilarious move
Is Dallas the NFL version of the Huskers?
if you get beyond the glamour crap, prime is an old school coach who requires kids go to school or their arse is on the bench. i think he has the potential to succeed with dallas because he has credentials and would relate well to superstars. i hope jerry pulls the trigger. but i'm not sure his ego could stand the attention drift from himself to primetime.
CFB is getting closer to the NFL . Roster caps obviously no salary ( NIL) cap yet . But you think is no strategy in- game calls and clock management in the College game?Deion doesn't seem to be an NFL fit to me. The college game is more about attracting talent and motivating guys, and I can see how he fits there. NFL is a business. Salary cap, strategy, in-game calls, clock management, etc.
Talent attraction is the biggest thing that Coach Prime brings. Of course the other stuff matters like the NFL, but the talent disparity is sooo much greater in the college game. That's where the competitive advantage lies.CFB is getting closer to the NFL . Roster caps obviously no salary ( NIL) cap yet . I don’t think NFL players are as impressed by Deion’s flash as high schoolers and college transfers have been.Talent attraction is the biggest thing that Coach Prime brings. All the speculation about Deion to Dallas and Shedeur with him. Poor Shiloh nevers gets mentioned. Deion can probably get him as a UDFA.
Can you imagine how it would go in an NFL locker room if Neon Deion chose to throw bombs instead of run out the clock like he did at Colorado? And if he lost them the game? I’d kinda love to see thatI don’t think NFL players are as impressed by Deion’s flash as high schoolers and college transfers have been.
Chump change. Just do it jerruh
Jones could probably make that amount up by just skipping the hookers for a weekend.
One name, Kevin Warren…I don't think MM sucks but I don't think he's elite either. If I were him i'd consider going fishing for a year and wait for better jobs to come open. I thought the Bears job would be a good one but even their fans seem to be pretty down on them because of owner/management.
Either is a terrible investment which exacty what Jerry Jones doesIf by chance they do draft Sheadur S, it would be worse. He'd rather take a 20 yard sack than throw the ball away and make his passing stats look bad.
if neon deon can keep the crack boys losing like romo, that would be ok
Very much so. Foolish decisions, avoidable drama, underperforming on the field yet still have endless support from fans.Is Dallas the NFL version of the Huskers?
90% of all coaching jobs are dead ends. Coaches are hired to be fired.Say what you like about Deion, but he isn’t dumb. Staying at CU would be better for his coaching career than going to the Cowboys would be. If he puts out another good season or 2 he will have chances to move up to a better college program or a better NFL organization than the Cowboys are. Seems to me that going to the cowboys would be a dead end.
You're probably correct. That's maybe why people want him to go to daboysSay what you like about Deion, but he isn’t dumb. That assumes a couple things. One, that maximizing his coaching career is something Deion cares about. Deion cares about maximizing Deion.Say what you like about Deion, but he isn’t dumb. He also owns a ranch in Texas. That assumes a couple things. One, that maximizing his coaching career is something Deion cares about. Deion cares about maximizing Deion.
Two, that his teams will perform like 2024 despite losing a Heismann winner on both sides of the ball and top 5 NFL pick at QB. He commented this week on how he entered a team meeting, and that it felt different without Shedeur, Travis and Shilo.
The Cowboys provide a much bigger stage with more marketing opportunities. And he doesn’t have the risk of struggling at CU without his luggage.
Good lord this story is weird. How is that even possible?
Exactly. Not sure how he got keys to any door without a signed contract. Would be stupid of AD and savvy but ahole on BB .Good lord this story is weird. How is that even possible?
Talk about getting screwed. You think you're getting Scarlett Johannsen and end up with Joy Behar. No thanks.Maybe Belichick set this up so that he could leave for an NFL head coaching job and his son would take over as head coach of UNC.
I think the risk of struggling will be there at any place. Yes, 2 top 5 draft picks on the same college team is very rare and there is a big risk things will go poorly next season for CU. Bunch of what ifs each scenario. In the end Deion will do as God tells him to do.That assumes a couple things. One, that maximizing his coaching career is something Deion cares about. Why would they announce it at all? Fire-able offense on the AD IMO.Exactly. Not sure how he got keys to any door without a signed contract. Would be stupid of AD and savvy but ahole on BB .
