Maybe this is the sliver lining in taking one on the chin from Gardner-Webb - you figure it's time to start playing the guys with upside.Thankfully Miles gave the kid a chance. If he is not gonna be around much longer Horne is one of the kids I want to see stick around. Watson, Morrow, Horne, Jordy, Roby
Sorry. I refuse to take anything positive that is happening right now. Total shit show.Maybe this is the sliver lining in taking one on the chin from Gardner-Webb - you figure it's time to start playing the guys with upside.
I can understand that. But if there really are talented players on this roster, get them on the floor. What is there to lose at this point?Sorry. I refuse to take anything positive that is happening right now. Total shit show.
Waiting, waiting, wait. Jacobson never had a stroke and Jack must hate the lights. I have seen this kid hit three after three in practice. Practice, we are talking PRACTICE.Why would you give Horne more minutes when Jacobson and McVeigh are just about to find their strokes? No really... any minute now.
Just keep shooting, it will eventually go in. Pretty sad it took a career night from a kid who barely plays to beat mighty Southern. Why would you give Horne more minutes when Jacobson and McVeigh are just about to find their strokes? No really... any minute now.
They are not being taught anything on offense. I watch other teams play. It seems even the lower-end players on most rosters can make moves, fake, and shoot better than almost every one of our guys.I can understand that. The offense produces lots of open looks for Jacobson - I mean WIDE OPEN LOOKS! You would almost think the other team wants him to shoot.Just keep shooting, it will eventually go in. Pretty sad it took a career night from a kid who barely plays to beat mighty Southern.
Obviously we need somebody other than Jake to be taking the shots. The offense isn't "producing the shots" the defense doesn't have to guard Morrow, Tshiminga, or Jake unless they're in the paint. The answer to getting more production in the paint is to have better shooters on the perimeter so the D pays a price when they double down low. We finally made somebody pay last night. Hopefully last night was a baby step in the right direction. The offense produces lots of open looks for Jacobson - I mean WIDE OPEN LOOKS! You would almost think the other team wants him to shoot.
Did anyone notice Miles last night after Jordy drove the lane from top of lane? Lane was cleared out, Jordy had ball at top of 3 line, he noticed clear lane and drove it in for a nice layup. Miles put his head down in apparent disgust with Jordy doing that move.
I don't know if that was Miles thought, but his body language didn't appear to be one of happiness. If he wasn't happy, why would you not be okay with your 6'11" freshman center at least showing some offensive attacking willingness if the opening is there? It pulled the Southern defender on Jordy out further next time which in turn opens lane up more for our guards to penetrate. Baffling.
Very possible. I have yet to figure out Miles thought process/strategy for getting Jordy minutes. Seems so inconsistent that I wonder if Jordy even understands. Most of them are playing like they don't know if they're doing well or not.Wasn't at the game...didn't watch. Didn't even listen to the radio. But, it probably had something to do with a defensive error from Jordy a few plays back. As you know, Miles is going to build this program up based on the defense we play.

Thanks for clarification. I was watching the play and by the time I looked over at Miles he had his head down and shaking it as if he wasn't happy. Seemed like a weird response after a nice play by his freshman big man.We sit opposite side of the Nebraska bench, a direct line to Tim Miles and that is not what he did. He double fist pumped and clapped, Jordy looked over and had a big smile.
