I grew up in Lincoln (Belmont). Graduated from Lincoln High in 77. My father was chief of training on the Lincoln Fire department. My brother was a cop there. My other brother was also a firefighter in Lincoln. My sister has worked in the Game and Parks headquarters for 30 years.

My point? Even though I have been forced to live in PA since 1989, I am fiercely proud of my home city. I love Lincoln. So to everyone on here heading there tomorrow for the game I want to tell you how jealous I am. I will be there for Oregon. But nothing beats the opening game at night.

Lincoln on game day is one of the greatest venues in all of sports. Safe travels to everyone. Drink like hell. Scream like hell.
Go Big Red

I've been back in Lincoln for 17 years now. But I never really appreciated Lincoln and Nebraska as much as I should have until I moved out of state for college. I would say moving out of state made me a bigger Husker fan because I had to make it my own-it's not quite so easy to be one when you're not around it all the time. I had intentions too of not returning back to Lincoln after I graduated. Now it would be hard to get me to move away.

So are you going to the game tomorrow?

Been in Texas for 31yrs but I am still from Nebraska. Get back to a game or 2/3 a year. Usually do one other road game a year.

Moved away from Nebraska a little over two years ago. Lucky to make it back a few times per year. Haven't been to a game since Iowa beat us I. Lincoln a few years back. It's tough. When you're 1500 miles away and no one cares about college football, much less Nebraska football, it makes you appreciate it more. I'll be back for Oregon as well and am psyched as hell but i can't wait for the day I can have season tickets, even if I never live in the state again. Go big red.

There are some advantages to living out of Nebraska in an area where nobody cares about college football. I live in PSU country. Enough said.
