Anybody catch what this clown did today? Caught a long pass and was staring down a Georgia player and slowed to a jog about the 5. While he was looking one way showboating, another Georgia defender just blasted him from the other side causing a fumble in the end zone that Georgia recovered. It was the quickest dose of karma I think ive ever seen.

After reading this I googled it... worth every second! Thanks!

The announcer said he was "prancing" into the endzone. Thats not what I saw. He caught the ball at the 5 and was slowing his speed while looking at a defender coming his way. Then he gets hit from his blind side, causing the fumble.

I'm going with meo on this one. He wasn't prancing. He just didn't see the guy on his blindside. I saw nothing abnormal or wrong in what the Tennessee receiver did. Why would anyone brace for a hit they never saw coming? Great hit by the Georgia defensive back.

his head coach certainly reacted as though he was prancing

Wouldn't call it a prance. It happened pretty fast. I'd call it more of a 'coast in'. He looked to the defender and thought "nanny nanny boo, you can't get me" as he coasted in. Then BOOM, t-boned by a Mack truck from the other side.

It didn't look like showboating to me. Just looked like he thought he had a touchdown and didn't anticipate getting hit from his left side. The best part was watching Butch Jones almost have a stroke.

X2. I kept watching that replay wondering where the showboating was. He just honestly thought he was the only player from either team in the area, at least that's what it looked like to me. I think the announcer saying the word "pranced" help drive the showboat narrative.

I agree it wasn't prancing, but he let up. He relaxed. and in that moment he got lit up. It will be a good learning moment for him, hopefully. You can relax after the score, not before.

He reacted as most players 2 yards from the end zone would react. I did not see it as show boating at all. Definitely a good learning opportunity though. Always finish.

Not as bad as I expected from all of the headlines. He was definitely coasting in, but I didnt see a tremendous amount of prancing.
