Makes sense. He had a football scholarship to ISU out of high school if I remember correctly. I think his grandpa played football there too.
I wonder whether Coach Miles ever considers red shirting a player mid-way thru his career to give that player time to develop a new skill. In this instance, due to lack of depth at the 5 position, Miles forced both Jacobsen and Morrow to play the 5 when both players wanted to play the 4 position. If one or both had been given the opportunity to redshirt between soph and junior years to work on longer range shooting, perhaps one or both would have remained in the program.Good Choice as far as he's concerned.
I believe Copeland signed with NU before any of the recent transfers.Agreed, the Morrow transfer stung in my eyes more then Jacobson. But at least we got Copeland coming in to make that sting a tad less. Been nice to have Morrow and Copeland or would Copeland not have joined the Huskers had Morrow stayed??
Copeland was staying here under any scenario. He had transferred and sat out last year. He has a completely different skill set then Morrow in that he can shoot from the outside. Morrow was more rebounding and put backs.Agreed, the Morrow transfer stung in my eyes more then Jacobson. But at least we got Copeland coming in to make that sting a tad less. He was a mid-year transfer. Also, there is still no word if he will be eligible before the 2nd semester. There is a decent chance that he sits out until conference play.Copeland was staying here under any scenario. He had transferred and sat out last year. Sports Nightly and Sports Insider both seem pretty sure Copeland will get a hardship ruling that will allow him to play right away. Hope they're right. He was a mid-year transfer.
