Good luck to the young man. Hopefully he finds a good place to land.

There goes some height.

Height doesn't do you much good without any basketball skills....

But really, good luck to Jake. Seemed like a good kid who was well liked by his teammates. But, I'm not sure how much more he was going to improve. Miles doesn't have time to waste, since fans have began to put "heat" on him. Go get Jordy Tshimanga and a graduate transfer big man, and let's make a frickin' run next year.

That sounds easy enough!!

Unfortunately, I'm not too surprised by this. Jake played hard but it didn't ever seem to me like he fit in overall with the rest of the team. Best of luck to Jake in his future! If I were Miles I would find myself a reliable transfer or juco with experience now that Shields is gone. Preferably a center.....o_O

He's got enough skills IMO for a big, What he lacks is quickness and athleticism I hate to see us give up on him but hopefully we can fill his spot with a stronger guy. I was hoping he would continue to get stronger but he seems to have hit a wall.

He always looked pretty akward on the court. He's probably the only transfer so that leaves us with two opern scholorships. Need to hope Miles has some luck landing two big men. One transfer and jordy tshimanga. Although, I don't think Jordy will be much help next year. Like most bigs he will need some time to develop.

I think he had potential to be a contributor by the time he was a senior, but timing was playing against him and Jacobsen and Morrow will likely be stronger players over the next two seasons. Therefore, his potential was probably ending as a 6th or 7th guy. He probably wanted more than that. As others have said, best wishes.

Surprised that Evelyn and Fuller aren't transferring. I don't see either of them getting many minutes next year.

We had better replace him with better bigs. I was confused what happened to him early in the season. He had two strong games in a row then barely played after. I think he just needs PT to get a lot better. Most times he played very weak for a big but had his moments where you saw what he could become. This should have been his redshirt freshman year, had he red-shirted opinion of him wouldn't be as negative I think.
