and you're relaxing on a Saturday after the College Football season has ended. What 3 things do you now know about the Nebraska Football program?

My guess:

1. Quarterback play will be significantly elevated, and we will have a logjam of possibilities for Fall 2016
2. Our defensive statistics will be a reverse mirror of the last 5 years, as we limit the run but trade that with allowing more passing yards.
3. Many will wonder why Tim Beck still isn't on staff, or wish he was retained.

What say you?

Biggest thing for me (I hope) is that even if we lose some games this season, that we will have seen steady improvement over the course of the year and we look back to the losses thinking "if only we played them now."

This is one thing I haven't seen at Nebraska probably since Osborne's years - maybe a few of Solich's teams - a steady dose of improvement week to week. With Callahan, the team seemingly got worse throughout the season and with Pelini, the team pretty much was at the end of the year what it was at the beginning of the year.

That's about it. I want to go into 2016 saying "At the rate this team improved over the 2015 season, I am VERY optimistic about the future."

I also think we're going to be pining for a heavier dose of the run game, but we'll see.

1. Our sellout streak is still alive.
2. Mike Riley will still be the coach in 2016.
3. Our colors will still be scarlet and cream.

Beyond that, I have no idea.......one of the toughest upcoming seasons to nail down. Everything I'm seeing and hearing is good, but how it translates to the field???????

1. Major turnover improvement on BOTH sides of the ball
2. That we lose 1-2 games we should've won (due to new systems on both sides of the ball), but win 1-2 games we shouldn't have (due to better overall coaching)
3. That all fans agree that the future is very, very promising with our players, recruits, and coaching..

GBR

1. That our 2015 schedule was much easier than what we'll face in 2016.
2. There is hope for the future.
3. Recruit, recruit, recruit.

1 Recruits we landed are better than their stars indicate.
2. Recruits we didn't land we didn't really want anyway.
3. I'll be wishing the next season would start already, I've been having Cornhusker withdrawal for more than 2 weeks now.

I'll play:

1. We're sure to be ranked in the top 20 going into 2016.
2. Mike Riley and staff will be able to get it done here.
3. The talent on our roster will be maximized throughout the Riley era.
