circumstances presently. Which coaching seat is hotter is the question, i.e. who lasts longer? At least the stands are full in Lincoln.

Strong by a Texas mile. He is in his second season. MR could get there by year two if some of this continues, but right now, it's Strong and not close.

The one thing MR has going for him is that there are not any real bitter rivals or 'little brother' in state teams on the schedule. Texas could very easily go 0-fer in TX and OK. Pretty hard for the Texas boosters to handle that. Strong might be around for next year only because Texas doesn't plan to have an AD named by the end of the football season.

Charlie's seat is way hotter than Riley. I would be shocked if Nebrasa fired Riley after this year, no matter how bad it gets. I would be equally surprised if Charlie is back at Texas next year.

I propose a merger of the 2 teams - hoping for enough talent to make one decent team. Half of the games could be with the Big 12 - half with the Big Ten, rotating home games between Lincoln & Austin. Not sure about the name: Texas Huskers or Neb. Longhorns?

It's strong by a mile. The ad that hired him is gone. New ad brings in his guy. Michigan last year once the ad was fired hoke was gone no matter what he did

I wonder why they haven't named a new A.D. It shouldn't be that hard. They have the pick of the litter.

tex has lost 4 games, all to ranked teams, 2 in heartbreaking fashion. OU will make it 5 to ranked teams this Sat. that said Charlie probably won't make it through the year.
