And for those on the interior of the line - center Paul Thurston,
Utter, Zach Hannon, Tanner Farmer, Nick Gates and Jerald Foster, to name
some - they're having to grow up this spring with Maliek Collins and
Vincent Valentine breathing on them.
The junior defensive tackle
duo has been dominating for much of the early part of spring. If
frustrating for young linemen at times, Cavanaugh is glad his guys have
to deal with it."To me, my biggest message is always going to be, it's not what they do, it's what we do," the coach said."When you see a guy getting launched or knocked off the ball, they're
exposing their chests, they've got no leverage, they're getting rocked
back. It just comes back to mastering that technique."

It's great that these young guys have to line up daily against the talent we have on the Dline.

I hope Reeves gets healthy. He'll be key. And does anyone know why we haven't heard anything about Chongo? Is he practicing this spring? If he was injured, I missed the news. I figured he'd be our top interior lineman this year.

He has been practicing on the white team (the second team to practice). I believe Utter and Hannon have been the starting guards on the red team.
