Not going to get excited about fb recruits! Been there done that for the better part of 40 years, Only to see decommit after decommit. Love the interest NU is getting, but let me know when we get some basketball recruits as it is relevant/signing time at this point of the year!

Got a tip for ya... just don't come to the board looking for FB recruiting news until next February. In the meantime, why you trying to ruin the day with your doom and gloom? I don't come to this board to read posts like this... But I know it's gonna happen anyway.
Just don't understand why people who don't want to get excited over recruiting feel the need to tell the rest of the board they don't want to get excited.
Just don't like coming here in October -February with everyone bitchin because so&so decommited. We need an early signing period, until then I will continue on this sight for current team news etc. not recruiting!
Exactly. Decommits happen. And it happens to every team. Just look at the former USC commit we got today. But the fact is this: out of 20-25 verbal commits, you average about three to four decommits. That means the vast majority of kids who verbally commit usually end up at that school. That is a fact.
Therefore, to not be exited about two highly rated kids verbally committing to dear ol' Nebraska U is just a form of showboating cynicism. Negativity for the sake of negativity.
Decommit after decommit? How many decommits did Riley and Co have last year? I can only think of 2 (Calvin and that that TE who I believe ended up getting it some trouble with the law).
2 decommits arent bad at all or any cause for alarm.

I would count Robert Porcher and Reese Leitao as decommits. Calvin shouldn't really count as he was only committed for a few days. 2 decommits is far from unusual-in fact, it's probably less than average. Our earliest commits ended up sticking too. So somebody who is suggesting that we shouldn't get excited about commits now is somebody who is just looking to be a buzzkill and rain on everybody else's parade. Heaven forbid people should get excited about something good happening about their team.

We replaced Calvin and Leitao with players just as good if not better. Admit it-you are looking for things to be negative about. If you can't say something nice now than SHUT THE HECK UP. I have had it with people like you that can do nothing on this board than sow negativity all the time. Is your life that pathetic that you take some perverse joy in trying to rain on other people's parade all the freakin' time? Seriously-what the heck is wrong with you people? Claim to be a fan and care about a team that you criticize, lambast and tear down at every chance? People are excited about something happening with Husker football? Oh, no you can't have that can you? Your first instinct is to look for something negative. That is not a fan under any legitimate description of the term. If that's your idea of being a fan, then I heartily invite you to be a "fan" of just about any other team than Nebraska. Leave the rest of us real fans the heck alone and let us enjoy good things happening for our team.

I don't like to come here in August because the expectations are unrealistic. I don't like coming here in the fall because people are suicidal if we lose and if we win, we don't win good enough. I don't like coming here in December because whatever bowl we get isn't good enough. I don't like coming here in February because we didn't land the number one class. I don't like coming here in Spring because someone always wants to buzz kill.
