I was thinking before reading this that the author would make the point about lack of talent on his team vs
the lack of competition. I submit that lower quality dbs are much more important than any other position for
a QB.

Possible. I just was not impressed with him in the SEC Championship game. Yes. It was against Bama but he never seemed like a Heisman contender in that game.
