If the pass is under thrown and the defender is running with the reciever, no more DPI. It sickens me to see passes that come up 1-2 yds short with no chance of completion being rewarded. I've seen too many games effected by this bogus call.
It is impossible to run and look back at the same time. A few D backs have the ability to turn when they sense the WR is looking for the ball but the skill is rare.Disagree OP, DBs need to learn to turn and look for the ball.
Lol, no it's definitely not impossible. It's a lost art for sure. This is why our DBs under Marvin Sanders were incredible as he did a great job of teaching that technique. I've only seen a few teams that have done something similar in recent years and generally have really good pass defenses as a result. The most prominent ones I can think of off the top of my head are Iowa and Cincinnati.It is impossible to run and look back at the same time. Except for Offensive holding. Some of those guys are getting away with grabbing and tackling defenders.There needs to be less flags, period.
