Isn't This the Brett Favre Scandal Guy?

I'm curious what it is to...apparently not enough to ever look into it...but if somebody could boil it down in a sentence or two I'd read it. I find it difficult to believe BF is a crook but what do I know.

It involves money from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, a federal program that provides grant funds to states and territories to help families in need.
Using this money to fund a volleyball center for Southern Miss.
This is a very short summary I cobbled together. Basically its a really ****ing shit thing, and Favre got caught red handed more or less from some boneheaded texts between him and the then-Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant

The details are appalling, considering what Favre and former state governor Phil Bryant are involved in. Not to mention the humanitarian part of it. Mississippi is regarded as the poorest state in the United States, and for Favre to do this instead of providing proper resources for its residents is flabbergasting.
Dr. Rodney Bennett, former president of Southern Miss, has come out publicly and spoken about how he urged Favre not to engage in these activities.
Which is why he is no longer around. He came in hot on the message boards in the early 2000's, ran his scam, ...

Truly hilarious that you’re fomenting this whole post based on your opinion and innuendo of his guilt without a single sourced reference that Bennett somehow went along with much less encouraged or participated in Favre’s scheme.
This is a heavily investigated story. You must have something? Did the UCLA AD perhaps even offer a comment at some point?
I hounded him off and on for a few years and he finally paid the $80 he owed me - think it was part of some "AA-like" making amends thing.
I'm hearing that Thunder Collins will be assisting Davis in that department. He'll be working remotely.
