and the best receiver in NU history?

he seems the best on the team, consistent as the sun.

irving fryer, miles, davison, and some tight ends..

Im thinking westercamp is on course to be the best receiver ever at NU

When he signed I said he would end up as the best WR in Husker history and I think that is true still today.

He has some work to be best but the offensive system is much different than when any of the past greats played, Fryar comes to mind right away.

He certainly is on the short list

yes, it is somewhat undifficult to know because the past receivers were used a lot less…

valentine, prior to his injury seemed like the second best player on the team, just a guy you plug into the position and you know he's solid

Westy is as good as anyone on the team. Tommy is right there too this season.

armstrong is a good player but too inconstant thus far. he's made a lot of improvement though…but still he doesn't seem like a consistent performer..he's defiantly in the top 10. I just don't have the same type confidence with him…but I suppose he has more variables to deal with.

If you are taking the wingback position out of the equation, Westerkamp is in the conversation as the best ever. Otherwise, Johnny Rodgers would like a word. So would Fryar.

If you compare him only to "Split Ends" from past eras, Westerkamp holds up pretty well - although guys like Tim Smith, Frosty Anderson and Jon Bostick would have caught an awful lot of passes in today's game.
