I think the ONLY time I've seen that called was against Frank Solich and the Ohio Bobcats. It's just not called ever. And it shouldn't be. Too subjective on when the whistle is blown compared to when the snap and kick happen.

Nice Guy Rhule was begging for a delay of game after the kid kicked it

Surprised he stayed on his feet

Was just going to post this. It was almost the same situation and it costs Ohio U that game.

I didn't say it was bad

it just didn't work
How does it make him a nice guy exploiting a rule to disadvantage a poor Iowa player?

How does firing your friend in the middle of a season to replace him with Someone better make him a nice guy?

He’s willing to do whatever it takes to win, saving abandoning his own principles. He’s not a drunk womanizer like our last coach. He’s not a smiling idiot like the coach before that. He’s not a lunatic like the coach before that. He respects Nebraska traditions, unlike the coach before that. He can recruit great players and can speak in public unlike the coach before that.

It’s taken 20 freaking years to make us the afterthought of college football. It’s going to take more than two to fix it.

indiana has been an afterthought for 100 years

took them about 7 months to fix it

but okay

If anyone thinks there should have been a delay of game penalty, you've lost your damn mind.
Nobody said there should’ve been. But Rhule can hardly be criticized for trying to take advantage of the rule.
You know it’s like that rule that folks in your part of the country ignore, the one about not marrying your cousin.

Indiana’s recent bowl games:
So maybe not the same situation as Nebraska after Frost and Riley?

Seriously, do you just make sh!t up without looking it up at work too? Or just here?
Going to a bowl game doesn’t make you relevant, sorry

Indiana football has been a doormat since the advent of the sport

Nothing I’m saying in this thread is at all controversial. It’s 1+1.

If anyone else posted what I have, I doubt you’d be arguing.

Funny burn on the CU fan btw

Rhule should have taken advantage of holding Iowa's offense to 5 first downs, 164 yards and 13 points.

Ok, so Rhule knows the rule and tries to get the Ref to follow it and get them out of FG range so we can win in OT?

Can you explain why that is bad?
I've seen plenty of kickers attempt the kick after a timeout is called. I've never seen a penalty called on it. Kinda wish Rhule would get on his own player's mistakes the way he gets on the refs.

I applaud Rhule for being aware of that and at least arguing it with the officials. I can't remember it ever being called, though.

Had it been Mack Brown the refs would have penalized them 5 yards AND put more time on the clock. Oh... sorry... wrong league.

You're either an idiot or a hawkeye fan but more than likely both
