I'm not understanding the calls for a coaching change. Granted, his win-loss record falls well short for a program of Nebraska's stature (and if you don't think the Huskers still have stature then how do you explain ABC here next week?) but can you honestly say the team that got beat at Michigan State and Oklahoma isn't light years better than teams from '18 and '19 or the final go-round of the Riley era? Surely the coach is responsible for who comes into the program and who's on the field on any given Saturday, but do you hold the coach responsible for an errant and ill-advised kick? Or the quarterback missing open receivers to keep a game-winning drive alive? Or linemen that lose focus? Maybe a coaching change brings more wins or maybe it takes the program steps backward. And who is it y'all want? The program has been down this road before that there has to be somebody better out there. Had I paid more attention in my psych classes maybe I'd have an answer as to why the Huskers can't climb over the hump, but from my sports days I recognize effort and these Huskers will give their coach everything they have.
