I don't get it guys. How come this super physical Iowa team can't do to Florida what they did to us. Didn't practice physical enough leading up to the game? Maybe athletes have something to do with it?

It's possible. But it sure as hell isn't the reason that Iowa beat the hell out of us and looks average against Florida.
I hope you arent serious. If you can't see the difference in athlete they have on the field compared to Nebraska that's sad. As far as injuries, Florida hasn't been on a self imposed recruiting probation like Nebraska during goons years. They actually have depth.
Also 12 starters who have been recruited in the last 2 years.

To your question: at this point in time we need massive talent upgrades. They we can evaluate the quality of many of the coaches on staff. But to suggest that Florida's coaches could have come into Nebraska and done better is ridiculous. They inherited a better program at Florida and they're in excellent recruiting grounds; hence the results they have had so far. The climb back at Nebraska will take significantly longer regardless of who steps in the front door of north stadium, and notably, we shouldn't be focusing on the likes of Florida. We need to start dominating the B10W first.
Some guys make better followers than they do leaders. That said I still wouldn't want him..
The thing that makes me curious about the talent, talent, talent and only talent crowd is that they scream for this yet they think the current coaching staff is the answer to that. If we need athletes so bad then we hired the wrong staff because they're not exactly setting the world on fire here.
We need a lot of things, more athletes being one of them.
We need:
Good athletes
Good coaches
A renewed culture among the players. A culture of winning and excellence
Do we have the right coaches? Only time will tell
We don't only need talent; however, it's a little hard to decide how good a coach can be when you've got the roster situation we have had the last two years. But Riley didn't wait and see...he fired two assistants and hired two hungry young guys.
We need some damn drive for sure because our team lacked the hell out of it. I mentioned in some other post that it wasn't uncommon to see 2 guys give it their all while the rest just lumbered around out on the field. It's important to have 11 guys putting in max effort on every damn play.
Patience. All they have to brag about is kicking our ass so they will show up soon enough.
We also need some desire, fight, drive, heart and attitude like we want to play not quit before we get off the bus.
Not keeping score but it's been 3 years in a row in bowl games counting the Gator bowl against Tennessee.
