I don't get it guys. How come this super physical Iowa team can't do to Florida what they did to us. Didn't practice physical enough leading up to the game? Maybe athletes have something to do with it?
Maybe Geoff Collins being a much better DC than Banker also has something to do with it? Also, here is Florida's injury list before more excuses come out:

I hope you arent serious. If you can't see the difference in athlete they have on the field compared to Nebraska that's sad. As far as injuries, Florida hasn't been on a self imposed recruiting probation like Nebraska during goons years. They actually have depth.

Also 12 starters who have been recruited in the last 2 years.
Enough of the excuses.
Great defensive call there. If only Banker were smart enough to make a defensive call like that....
Or someone on Nebraska's current staff could have got him to come to Nebraska? The kid is a freshman you know.
It could just be a reflection of how sh*tty we are...It's possible. But it sure as hell isn't the reason that Iowa beat the hell out of us and looks average against Florida.

Are you finally realizing that Nebraska is extremely short on talent and depth?
Wrong. Iowa just needs to be more physical. If they do they will overcome the athlete differential.
Or Florida's recruiters + coaches.
Haha. Yes! How refreshing to have them fall silent as they are bulldozed for the second year in a row in their bowl gameI'm just curious where all the Iowa fans are? Seems odd for them to not be over here talking shit.

Of course Collins isn't coaching in the game. Randy Shannon is the interim D.C.Maybe Geoff Collins being a much better DC than Banker also has something to do with it? Also, here is Florida's injury list before more excuses come out:

SMH. Yes. Those guys would have lit the recruiting trail on fire, brought all the studs to Lincoln, fixed the roster/depth problems, and dominated Iowa this year.
Reality be damned.
Of course Collins isn't coaching in the game. Randy Shannon is the interim D.C.

Last Iowa bowl win was 2010.Haha. Yes! How refreshing to have them fall silent as they are bulldozed for the second year in a row in their bowl game
Good catch. I'd DEFINITELY take that guy too!
The guy couldn't even win at Miami
Or logic and results be damned I guess. Might as well just assume 9-10 wins is the plateau at Nebraska anymore.
Try to keep up here...
This thread started by you insinuating that Florida is getting after Iowa and Nebraska got their asses handed to them strictly because of athletes.
I insinuated that plenty of Nebraska getting blasted by Iowa had to do with coaching as well.
12 of Florida's starters were recruited while Riley has been at
Nebraska.
So does Nebraska need better recruiters, or teachers, or both, to keep up with the likes of Florida?
The guy couldn't even win at Miami
The thread was sarcasm meant for the idiots that think physicality is what wins games.
To your question: at this point in time we need massive talent upgrades. They we can evaluate the quality of many of the coaches on staff. But to suggest that Florida's coaches could have come into Nebraska and done better is ridiculous. They inherited a better program at Florida and they're in excellent recruiting grounds; hence the results they have had so far. The climb back at Nebraska will take significantly longer regardless of who steps in the front door of north stadium, and notably, we shouldn't be focusing on the likes of Florida. We need to start dominating the B10W first.
We need:The thing that makes me curious about the talent, talent, talent and only talent crowd is that they scream for this yet they think the current coaching staff is the answer to that. If we need athletes so bad then we hired the wrong staff because they're not exactly setting the world on fire here.
We need a lot of things, more athletes being one of them.

We need:
Good athletes
Good coaches
A renewed culture among the players. A culture of winning and excellence
Do we have the right coaches? Only time will tell

Kind of what I meant by a new culture. AgreedWe also need some desire, fight, drive, heart and attitude like we want to play not quit before we get off the bus.
Haha. Yes! How refreshing to have them fall silent as they are bulldozed for the second year in a row in their bowl game
Actually, Iowa has lost 5 bowl games in a row.Not keeping score but it's been 3 years in a row in bowl games counting the Gator bowl against Tennessee.
