Iowa spring ball is just getting underway. At Kirk Ferentz' press conference yesterday, he confirmed that Jake Rudock, the starting QB of the last two seasons, has been granted an unrestricted release to transfer to any program, including those in the Big Ten. He also said that Rudock was free to stay with Iowa, but that it was Rudock's decision. Until he decides, he will not be at practice or in team meetings, etc.

If Rudock does, in fact, transfer (which seems to be the expected/predicted outcome), then Iowa will be one injury-to-Beathard play away from starting a QB who has exactly zero snaps college football.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
