How big of a boner will some of us have if NU knocks of Iowa?

Also..I love seeing two Big Ten teams in the top 5

I think his statement was one of the reasons Ferentz & company reevaluated things and made the changes they did.

Indeed, and Iowa hasn't been really very great in awhile. KF was on the hot seat and pulled this out of his butt. He's good for a good year every 4-5 years.

#5 in the playoff picture is better than a good year I expect better next year.

I am happy for Iowa...I wish that was Nebraska in that spot. Take care of business and it would have been

Iowa is undefeated and in the top 5. And yet, Drew Ott, Cole Fisher, and Bazata still all wish they could play for the Huskers. My wife loves me. I'm a tall and quasi attractive man in his mid 30s. But she should would still leave me in a heartbeat for a balding unemployed Ryan Gosling.... Iowa is still Iowa and my wife doesn't want to sleep with them.

Its better than I think most KF supporters expected. Even for guys on the bandwagon, the question was whether anyone really thought he was going to make an 8-10 game run to save his job.

This year has certainly been a boon for the Hawks.

Slow your role there buddy boy

I feel like as long as CJ Beathard is starting anything is possible. He is now 10-0 in all of his starts, and he is a Junior. He doesn't have Connor Cook numbers or anything, but he always seems to find ways to get done what needs to be done to win, even injured.

You and your little sheep need a new act yours is tiresome and reeks of penis envy!

Doubt that Ott, Fisher and Bazata cry themselves to sleep at night because their in Iowa City and not Lincoln.
And the O-line says "hi" to your wife.

I used to cry myself to sleep whenever I had to stay in Iowa City. What a monumental bore that joint was.

You look at the topics on your board lately?
You post on a Nebraska message board during Iowa football games. You are exhibit A of the obsession. As if it what we say about Iowa matters so much to you and a dozen other Hogeyes that cling to this board. As I said before, if NU beats Iowa again you all will vanish like usual and won't be back again until July puffing your chest.

Kid is tough as nails. Solid.

Kirk Ferentz is an interesting case. He'd be out of his job a year (or even two years) ago if it weren't for his contract.

His team this year is playing mistake free football, which keeps it in any game they play. Iowa doesn't and won't match up athlete for athlete with the other top ten teams, but they won't beat themselves. Couple that with a manageable schedule and the choice to change quarterbacks and you have the blueprint for the hawk's success.

Indeed, you don't hear alot of the "game has passed him by" or "doesn't have enough energy left this far into his tenure" out of their fan base this year like have have in the previous 4 years. Its amazing how those issues come and go as the chips go one way or the other.

You should have looked up cornicators wife.

Actually
As compared to the unending fun that is metropolitan Lincoln, or anywhere else in Nebraska?

That's like making fun of us for having so many cornfields.

Lincoln will always have more to do than Iowa City. Even before the Haymarket was expanded, there was more to do in Lincoln than Iowa City. But there is even more to do now. I like Iowa City OK. It has a nice campus, with hills and trees. But your downtown is Division II.

And don't even try to compare any city in Iowa to Omaha. I used to stay in Des Moines monthly, and that city just plain sucks...period!

iowa has a 3 pt win over pitt on a 57 yd fg and a 4 pt win over wisconsin in a game where they were outplayed. I give em credit for the beatdown of NW, but their other 6 wins are over trash teams - Illinois St, Iowa St, Illinois, Maryland, North Texas, and Indiana. Good for them for winning em all, which is all you can do, but they've played a charmin soft schedule. we'll see how good they are on black friday and then the following saturday. i don't expect to see em on new years eve.

These rankings are so dumb. I have no idea how Ohio State is even up there right now. There are 3 more big weekends, but all these rankings are, are entertainment value. It always sorts itself out.

You're right. These rankings are for fan angst and fan bravado right now. The only one that will matter is the last one the committee cobbles together.

Hopefully your team and my hogeyes take care of business till Black Friday. Iowa playing to be undefeated and Nebraska playing for bowl eligibility has the makings for an epic game.
