Was looking at the the competing game for the 11am and 230p ABC slots. The NC/NC State game is now slotted for 11am. That leave the Houston/Memphis game was the only game undecided for the 11a or 230p slots on ABC. Appears now both games could have a 7-4 vs 9-2 team. Houston has a BIG game this week vs Louisville. Am thinking if they win, they would get the 230 slot. If Houston lose Iowa/NU gets the 230 slot.

I'm hoping for the 2:30pm slot for NU at Iowa. My family is celebrating Thanksgiving on Friday instead of Thursday. If the game is at 11am, well, it will be one of the quickest Thanksgiving meals ever.

If the NC/ NC State game is set for 11:00, I'd pretty sure the Iowa game will be 2:30.

7-4 Iowa vs. 9-2 Nebraska >>>>> 7-4 Memphis vs. 9-2 Houston

Houston is going to get destroyed by Louisville anyway.

If you think Houston v Memphis has even a chance at more viewers than Nebraska v Iowa you're nuts. Nebraska would take the 230 slot in a heartbeat. But is that really the only other game battling for that spot? Surprising.

Im not into the what comferences play what channels. With that said, what channels would Texas vs TCU and Wash vs Wazzu play on? They are both 230pm starts as well. Im guessing wazzu would be on Fox?

11a- North Carolina State at North Carolina (ABC or ESPN)
1:30p - Arkansas at Missouri (CBS)
2:30p - TCU at Texas (FS1)
2:30p - Washington at Washington State (Fox)
5:00p - Baylor at Texas Tech (ESPN)
8:30p - Arizona State at Arizona (ESPN)
11a or 2:30p - Houston at Memphis (ABC or ESPN)
11a or 2:30p - Nebraska at Iowa (ABC or ESPN)

I still think if Nebraska beats Maryland they will take Nebraska vs Iowa over Houston

Agreed. FWIW according to the below link over 10,000,000 viewers watched the end of the Iowa-Michigan game last week. If Houston-Memphis could draw anywhere near Iowa-Nebraska than the B12 are fools not to take both.

He said in an interview once that he prefers 11:00 kicks because it's more orderly process. Basically he and the university hate the tailgating/party scene at Iowa and will do whatever they can to suppress it. With that said the game is going to be @2:30.

This was more in line with 6:30/7:00 kickoffs, which was completely stupid, I agree. However, in the last two years, Barta has in fact, lobbied the Big Ten for more night games in Kinnick.

The administration was previously against night games against Iowa State and they completely backed off. So no, Barta is not lobbying for an 11:00 am kick against Nebraska.

Also, Barta can only lobby for start times that are on BTN. He has no discretion on start times that are dictated by ESPN.
