Without doing any research, I'm going to guess they have around 15 4-star WRs between the current roster, last year's and this year's class.
When your position coach can get away with everything he's done and still have a job, you probably have to kill someone to get kicked off the team.
Well.................they have a great QB.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!
Bugeaters plan is to put 11 WRs on the field.
Oline...not even once.
If you read the article I'm not so sure you could call it a Commitment.
Possibly filling the slot once occupied by Cameron Brown.
Well Iowa.. keep on keeping on.. a Program to the West is all in on taking your..
Update.
^This. Anyone who wants, go back and look, their line recruiting. Underwhelming to say the least
They do have a ton of highly ranked WR's. It doesn't make much sense at all to be honest, this is the Big Ten, not the Big 12.
They will never be able to keep all these guys content.
KHawk4,
Do you even go look or just assume that it is bad? Every time Nebby gets a recruit we mention O-Line. Well here it is.
2016:
Matt Farniok--4 star , 14 P5 offers (Yes Iowa Wanted him)
Boe Wilson-3 Star, 5 P5 Offers
John Rairdon, 4 star 11 P5 offers (YEs Iowa wanted him)
Bryan Brokop 3 star, 10 p5 offers
2017:
Broc Bando, 3 or 4 star depending on the website, 5 P% offers
Matt Schiterman, 3 star 8 P5 offers
Brenden Jaimes, 4 star 11 P5 offers
I mention P5 offers because I believe it is important. Plenty of 4 star rated kids that end up deciding between a directional Michigan School and Toledo. So I believe it is important to look at who has offered. Plenty of 3 star talent that gets offered by the top football schools. Anyways to say it is underwhelming I guess I just completely disagree with you and a majority who keep referring to this anytime they get a high rated recruit. Yes we dominated them on the line the last few years, but it is a new year and to just flat our say that trend will continue is just crazy.
It's hard for some to swallow that the Iowa coaching staff just can't recruit. Iowa will continue their cycle of up and down but I think Nebraska is really setting themselves up for top dog in the West.
At what point to all these receivers start thinking about playing time?
Practice Reps -> Starts -> Plays -> Targets -> Catches -> All Big Ten -> All American -> Bowl games -> Combine -> - Draft -> . Right?
All opportunities to shine divided by N (N = 12 or whatever the number coming in PLUS top incumbent upperclassman).
By the time the season starts, practice reps during game week are going to be limited to the top 4 guys, maybe 3-4 targets a piece tops (during 11 on 11 session 2 deep prep).
Got to feel like there will be a lot unhappy campers and plenty of transfers. Do these guys have that many open doors with other programs?
Not all these kids are going to be signing with Nebraska. Especially, after they win 6-7 games this year.
They have a long way to go in my opinion. They still haven't proven they can run or stop the run. It appears their best DB from last years class isn't going to make it, and they have two of their stud commits in this class (including Moore) that are far from solid!
They're recruiting well and we're jealous?
