Iowa Athletes Betting on Games

Iowa head football coach will somehow get a raise and extension out of this.

Also heard the Iowa FB players but the "under" on how many Huskers would wave to the hospital.

Not sure, all I know for sure is any story that makes the state of Iowa and the Iowa U sports programs look bad is a win for everyone outside the state of Iowa. Iowa football fans are the scum of all college football fandom.

Show me proof it is happening everywhere. These kind of replies are dumb. Maybe it is maybe it isn't. But you are basing truth in assumptions. Maybe you should stick to political bs

You have a unique ability to be able to go through life with your head up your ass. And apologies if your boy isn't going to get a 2nd term. Ffs you're a clown. Show you proof? A huge % of the general population gambles, a huge % of that pop. is college kids, specifically boys. I betcha the athletes are just entirely different though. Take the next few plays off champ. You just have to not be dumb enough to get caught, which explains why Iowans got clipped.

Where are our NU obsessed weirdos to give us the scoop on this? @beatdahuskers , @Flick2.0
Doesn’t sound like anyone bet on their own sports. Might have been some underage guys that got caught. Rumor is that some bet on the women’s game against South Carolina for example. ISU having the same issue. Will be very interesting to see the details.

It’s long been my belief (posted here many times) that betting on oneself to win should be allowed (as in combat sports)

Not surprising at all its the iowa schools filled with dipshits who jeopardize it all for everyone with nothing to show for it

Akin to the iowegian stealing from make-a-wish (also not surprising)

I had a childhood friend who was a D1 baseball player. He had offshore accounts under other people's named so he could bet football and hoops.

They bet on the Iowas women BB team who the fk cares as lol as they are 217

Lol!!!! Sure, sure I’m a hawk fan. Also, I’m sure if this was Sims, Kemp and Grant that you would be saying throw the book at them and suspend them for betting on a woman’s volleyball game. Got it.
Throwing names of others that are not involved what so ever is a weak move. You sure seem to go to bat for the Hawks alot while being a self proclaimed Husker fan. Not buying it.

It’s called a hypothetical situation - don’t be a hypocrite and light up another school for something that’s ridiculous on its face. I was merely pointing out that we wouldn’t be throwing the book at our own players if the same situation were to occur. Defending a basic premise of another team doesn’t make me a fan of them but does promote common sense and independent thought.

Keep in mind that Walleye struggles a bit, so just go with it.

Another big IF. Haha you and @Lincoln100 enjoying the Klan meetings in Iowa City? Lincoln only can argue politics. He is consumed.

So where does hypotheticals end? Breaking rules? Breaking laws? Come on max. You are showing your own black and gold colors.

Totally agree. Worked wonders for Lincoln Hawk. Bet on himself and won his family and walked away with some coin to boot. We need more feel good stories like this one.
