Interesting information about Akureyri, Iceland. It is a beautiful city.

Why is it that all European cities' buildings look like a compound or state hospital? Not exactly the most uplifting architecture.

Didn't make it to Akureyri, but did spend a week in Iceland last year. One of the most amazing places I've ever been! Would definitely recommend it - any season. I went in the fall, planning a summer trip and a winter trip sometime in the future.
